Hello,
My husband and I joined GRN in April. So far it has been a frustrating experience we followed the steps our sponsor suggested and have seen nothing for results. Some people ask for more information and we talk but then they disappear. It seems like they see the price and figure its a scam. There is such a stigma around the internet that if you have to put in money upfront it's a scam. We can't seem to get people past the $3,000. I know there is an option for people to join for $100 to be an affiliate but then you pass up sales and people are like no way. I read on forums how much success people are having with their business and can't help but wonder what they are doing that we're not. We keep trucking and trying. Hopefully our efforts will pay off. Good Luck to our fellow GRN members!Post edited by: TAKTechnology, at: 2008/08/04 17:04
Hello Everyone,
After Mike's "Warning Incoming Rant" E-mail. Which I read quite a few times. He had alot to say and I wanted to take it all in. I realized he was so right. This post is not the post of a leader but a whiner which is definitely not what I am. I have always prided myself on plowing through challenges no matter what they were. I never realized that I really do look at the world from a poverty stand point. Well if I think that that's who I am going to attract. I am not going to delete this post or change it. Whenever I am feeling whining I am going to read it and remember that that's not me. I am going to take a long hard look in the mirror and figure out how I am sabotaging my business. Go into marketing avenues that I haven't fully utilized. My husband and I have started reading Magnetic Sponsoring and Building on a Budget. I have read MS but decided to reread it as I needed a refresher. So we keep on trucking and hopefully by working on ourselves we will see results. By the way. Thanks Mike for the REALITY CHECK!! We Needed It!!

GRN is CHEAP!!!! When ever I get on the price issue with people I just have to remind myself of how much I it cost me to build my first company... $125,000 and we were underfunded lol... 2995 is a drop in the bucket for a serious entrepreneur.

Re: A Frustrated GRN Affiliate! UPDATED!
I joined reverse funnel and GRN back in april this year. I was forced to quit after two unsuccessful months of trying to sell the thing. I even asked GRN if I could get a refund and they said NO, BUT i could sell the membership. It looks like I will never use the damn thing because I am too broke to go anywhere, so
I guess I'll hang on to it for now anyway.

Re: A Frustrated GRN Affiliate! UPDATED!
I'm glad I popped in here. Hi Tom and Kristin, I haven't heard from you in months. How's your little boy?
Global Resorts Network is an awesome business opportunity and a fabulous product. Price is not the problem. Marketing and mindset is. Establishing yourself as a leader, a teacher, a mentor and paying it forward is how to do that.
I have built a large team and those that call me for regular weekly coaching and input and never give up are achieving results.
It doesn't matter whether you are selling rocks, legal services, travel club memberships, juices, phone cards, what matters is how to market and how you come across to people.
Today's marketing demands a variety of compenents to establish yourself as credible. I never get a question about whether GRN is a scam because the people that call me about the business opportunity have already seen my website, my 100+ videos, my blogs, my articles and I've established as a professional. They are seeing tremendous value in the travel club membership and are ready to buy.
You must be willing to do what most people won't. That's rolling up your sleeves and getting busy with the "work" part. The work part should encompass setting a 7 figure foundation by being omni present where people hang out and having a teaching and helping attitude.
Using the Renegade University will give you all the training you need for learning how to do the various marketing. Having your own leadership platform will be impressive to any prospect calling you. Begin to put things into place that says "I'm a leader".
As you know Tom and Kristen, I teach personally branded websites and not company replicated sites. This allows people to get to know you. When they land on your page, what is it that you are offering that makes people want to call you? How are you coming across? Does your posture, attitude, background, knowledge, tell them that you're the leaders they've been looking for?
Being a student of marketing takes patience and diligence.
Personal Development is also key. As soon as someone starts complaining, I ask them what they are doing currently for personal development. Without fail, they are either not doing any personal development or they are doing very little.
Successful entrepreneurers are problem solvers, not problem dwellers. They constantly look for solutions, try new things, stretch far out of their box and improve on what they've already done. They do whatever it takes to develop personally which overflows into the marketing they put out. They are massive implementors and put a ton of information out there.
Let me know how I can specifically help you. Marketing Magnetic Sponsoring, Ann Seigs book and Renegade University will all provide great resources to other network marketers and at the same time give you leads to work with while you make money on the sales. I'm glad you're looking into that.

I can't agree with Debbie any more... It takes a certain type of person to succeed in any online business, not everyone will succeed but the ones who are willing to do what ever it takes and never quit will win... Just think if Micheal Jordan quit basketball cause he didn't make the high school team one year where do you think he would be now... Success comes to those who want it bad enough and do something about it...
Personal branding is key, and having an attraction marketing funnel is also key to winning in GRN or any business online. You can check out some of my free training on these subjects at my website below. I am always willing to help those who need it...

Re: A Frustrated GRN Affiliate! UPDATED!
Hi Kristin and Tom:
I've been in GRN since April of '08, too. The first person I signed up was one of those $100 affiliates you spoke of. I had a few phone conversations with her but haven't heard from her since.
You really need to be a product of the product, whatever business you're promoting. I am reminded of a time when I was shopping for cars. This was when I was much younger and less affluent than I am now. Nonetheless, I thought I'd shop for a Cadillac just for grins. Interestingly enough, the Cadillac salesman was the first of all the luxury brands to take me seriously. I did a test drive and had a nice chat with him. Naïve as I was, I was shocked to learn that he didn't drive a Cadillac himself when he exclaimed, "Oh, I could never afford one of them." That opened my eyes to learn that a lot of people in sales are not actual consumers of the product they're selling.
Again, I was naïve, and I suppose in the luxury-car market there are lots of sales reps that drive less-than-luxury marks. That's probably understandable.
But in network marketing/MLM it's definitely not OK. This is going in the book that I am writing, that you need to find a product and an industry that you can get fully behind.
GRN is an awesome product at a ridiculously low price, all things considered. Just under $3,000 for a lifetime membership? My other business is in health & wellness, and I've been with them for over six years. I'm sure I've spent much more than that over the years. Granted, I didn't have to cough it up all at once, but GRN appeals to me in that it is a one-time fee. Then whenever you use the membership and spend a week somewhere nice, you pay a small fee (generally $298 to $799, sometimes less, sometimes more), which is much less than the properties retail for.
OK, I'll get off my soapbox. GRN is great. Keep at it. You'll experience success in no time. Just remember that what you are ultimately selling is yourselves. Personal branding is key. Get those capture page websites up with videos of you, and you're sure to attract the right prospects.
Keep me posted as to your progress. I care.

That's the problem Rocky, you're trying to sell a product. doesn't matter if it's rocks, paper clips, soap or travel club memberhships. You have to sell yourself. Stop being a salesman and start adding value to others in the form of "how to" build your business. Mike dillard's magnetic sponsoring is about attracting people to you and your business with money in hand to join because of the value you've put out. They are attracted to your teaching, mentoring, coaching, content, etc. They want more of you, they want to hang out with you, you develp a fan club and they want to join you.
How much personal development are you doing each day? Are you using the laws of attraction? dismissing thoughts of lack and poverty? Visualizing your success and doing the steps it takes to make it happen?
How many hours a week are you learning vs. implementing?
Let me know if I can help you with some coaching. The GRN opportunity is outstanding as well as the pay plan. Sounds like you need a direction for getting started in attraction marketing. I'll be happy to give you a couple coaching sessions if you want to get together, let me know.

Re: A Frustrated GRN Affiliate! UPDATED!
Seems to me, you bought into the "Set It & Forget It" Reverse Funnel hype. That was your downfall. Seems to me the best way to sell (others) on the product is to BE your own best customer and consumer of it! Find resorts that are within driving range and if you can't afford the week alone, hey, find a family member or friends (preferably with a video camera
) who'd love to share in the cost of spending a week with you and video taping it! Then upload your vacation stays on YouTube and show people 'the money' by the excitement and money saved at a beautiful, funfilled, great Vay Cay (vacation) resort get away!
Stop focusing on the money [you don't have] and instead on ways of utilizing the product and then you will see the objections by others stopping and the wheels (within their heads) turning about how can they do what you do: Get paid to vacation!
