Hi my TF2 friends, hope you guys are having a blast over the holidays.
I am going along through the TF2 course trying to watch some of the courses again over the holidays. I can really understand that some people can be confused with some of the technical aspects of the course. I am quite savvy for everything technical so here is my offer.
What I'd like to try to do here is to help everyone of you who has a technical problem.
What I'd like, is that if you have a technical question, like how to install a Wordpress plugin, how to create a Squidoo lens, how to create a back link, how to post a YouTube video, etc. post a message below i this thread and I will create answer the question in a blog post on my blog (and/or here) or a video tutorial that I will make available to everybody. This is what I'd like to bring to the community.
What do you guys think about this idea?
Please let me know and if you have some questions, please ask, there is no stupid question!

Re: A Gift For You (experiment for me)
First you'll need a google account - you can use the same one for youtube, analytics, webmaster tools, feedburner etc. so it's well worth getting one..
Once you have that, head on over to:
feedburner.google.com
login
Where it says:
Burn a feed right this instant. Type your blog or feed address here:
type in:
www.yoursitehere.com/feed
then click 'next'
Most of the time the next fields will be autofilled... If they're not fill them in to your specifications..
Next message:
Congrats your feed is setup
Now you're all setup, there are more advanced settings - which are really unnecessary if you don't know what they do.
Enjoy feedburner. =)

Re: A Gift For You (experiment for me)
Thank you so much in advance. I have a blog on WP. Perhaps it is the theme I'm using; but I post various videos with each post. Everytime I do this it changes the videos on the previous posts. I am using the widget to post in the sidebar because I cannot figure out any other way to do it. But I would like to have the old videos in the archieve with the older posts. Is this possible?
P.S. I am a real newbie to this.

Betty,
if you're using youtube to host your videos, just copy the embed code from the page with your video on in (in youtube)
then, in your blog, in a post - switch to html editor mode, then paste the embed code, switch back to normal editing mode, and you should see a macromedia empty box with a little icon or something like that, this will let you know that the video is now embedded in your post. publish your post, and you're done. this saves having to do so in the sidebar.
the sidebar isn't something that is archived it's static, not dynamic. Meaning it's not really supposed to change like say blog posts or pages.
hope this helps.

Hey Betty
You can also use plugins to make it easy to insert video into your posts. With most you don't need the entire embed code to make it work, just the url of the video itself.
I use easytube
And if you have wordpress it is super easy to install and you can even customize the player a bit as well.
Here is a page on my Nerve Center that has a video on it that I used easytube with...

Let me know if you need any help with it.

It's been a month and I haven't done anything for this. I apologize. I am putting together a platform that will help me do more of those more efficiently.
I hope you guys have more questions as I will be able to answer them soon
