I am trying to create a form similar to the widget on the MS Affiliate blog (http://magneticaffiliateblog.com/). Although I do have my own autoresponder service now, I would rather just use the MS autoresponder service for my new leads for the time being.
What information should I customize with my own affiliate ID number (or other information??)from the following source code? I have already "bolded" what I perceive to be the pertinent information below:
<div id="sidebar" class="grid_6">
<div class="widget">
<div class="textwidget"><a href="http://www.magneticsponsoring.com/socialmedia" target="_blank"<img src="http://www.magneticaffiliateblog.com/images/connect.jpg"/></a></div></div><!--/widget-->
<div class="widget">
<div class="textwidget"><form method=post action="http://app.icontact.com/icp/signup.php" name="icpsignup" accept-charset="UTF-8" onSubmit="return verifyRequired();" >
<div align="center">
<input type=hidden name=redirect value="http://magneticsponsoringonline.com/letter/letter.html?obc=1&c=magneticSponsoringDotCom" />
<input type=hidden name=errorredirect value="http://magnetic.myfocusdata.com/magnetic/ms.com/error.htm" />
<img src="http://magneticsponsoring.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/optInHeader.gif" width="300" height="170" border="0" />
<script type="text/javascript">
function verifyRequired() {
if (document.icpsignup["fields_email"].value == "") {
document.icpsignup["fields_email"].focus();
alert("The Email field is required.");
return false;
}
return true;
}
</script>
</p>
</div>
<table width="300" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="5">
<tr>
<td align="left" valign="middle" nowrap="nowrap"><div align="right">First Name:</div></td>
<td align="left" valign="middle"><input name="fields_fname" type="text" size="20"></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td align="left" valign="middle"><div align="right">Email:</div></td>
<td align="left" valign="middle"><input name="fields_email" type="text" size="20"></td>
</tr>
</table>
<input type=hidden name="listid" value="__multi">
<input type=hidden name="lists" value="11528:19491">
<input type=hidden name=clientid value="130077">
<input type=hidden name=formid value="3031">
<input type=hidden name=reallistid value="1">

<p align="center" style="text-indent: 0em; font-size:10px; padding:10px; font-weight:bold; margin-top:-15px; padding-bottom:15px;">We promise never to share the information you provide us.</p>
</form></div></div><!--/widget-->
Hope this makes sense!!

Re: MS Affiliate Blog Widget
Hi Dave,
Im not sure if you can take and place the source code for the MS autoresponders and put it on your blog, webpage or anywhere else for that matter. The form is coded to work on the MS platform, and the script probably wont post right if its not on a system page.
If Im wrong, let me know-
But if you can do it... darn that would mean some really great customized MS capture pages.

Re: MS Affiliate Blog Widget
Hey Dave,
Someone actually asked this on the last magneticsponsoringaffiliateblog live stream.
You cant use the code on your own website. But what you can do and is highly recommended is just putting a picture there (of the autoresponder form) and hyperlinking it to the capture page. Once the person clicks to put his/her cursor in the name box it will bring them to the magnetic sponsoring capture page.
hope this helped -Matt

Re: MS Affiliate Blog Widget
Nop. I'd call them because you can't use their autoresponder script/code and bang it on yours. I doubt that very much.
I'd advise the following:
1. Create your own capture page, and also an optin form on your blog. By doing this, you are building your own list.
The prospects are filling in their details first to YOUR form. Because..
A) You need to generate traffic.
B) Build relationship.
C) Turn traffic to profit.
And be in control of your list before passing them on to MS system.
How you going to build relationship if the traffic is first going to MS? MS is a tool and when used right it will raise your authority and build trust.
Sure, you can call them later on, but you cannot email them like you do with autoresponder, providing value because...they already getting emails from the system Mike Dillard and his team, has created.
2. When you've done the first part in capturing details onto your list you can..
A)Direct your list to added value, with an article on your blog.
B) The blog post will have link to MS capture page.
That way, you are in control of your list, no one tells you how many times to email them, or call them. It's your list.
And you are branding you, your voice, your videos, and your face.
