Postby Katrina van Oudheusden on Mon Jul 09, 2012 6:18 pm

Hey!

I am looking to see what everyone's top 2 favorite plugins are for their wordpress blog? If you have more that 2, go ahead and share.

Also let me know WHY they are your favorite? What is the function? Does it drive traffic to your site? It it paid or free?

Thanks for taking time to share your favorites!

Yours in Success!

My number 1 is SEOpressor which is a paid plugin.

SEOpressor is a 100% serious SEO guy telling you how you should write your blog posts/articles to matter SEO wise. I have been using it for quite a while and it does bring very good results in google.

Try the keyword: How to attract wealth in google blogs.

That is my newly posted article and Google likes it.

My number 2 is the Akismet plugin which is free. So far it has protecd me from a lot of spam.

It is interesting to see how Google ranks my now 4 posts just because of the SEOpressor. There is yet to be building backlinks on the posts but still they rank pretty good on the first page for blog results at least.

I do have to look into copy writting a lot more but when I do some research for keywords and how hard it is to rank for them it is amazing how non SEO'ed the competetion really is.

Hiya. I'm new and was trying to decide whether or not to join BetterNetworker. Then, I saw this thread on the front page of the site and figured I'd join, if for nothing else, to tell you about the WordPress plugin I found the other day.

It's called Wysija (what you see is just awesome) - It's a newsletter plugin that's free and can be found in the WP plugin directory. They also have a premium version of the plugin that allows you to have more than 2,000 subscribers, a little better stat tracking, and more themes.

I don't know how many free (or paid) newsletter plugins you may've tried to use over the years, but, being a WP freelancer, I've dealt with more than I care to remember. And every single one of them ended up costing me a lot of time and sometimes, a lot of money. Wysija didn't give me a single problem. Worked out of the box. :)

I was actually so impressed with the plugin that, after sending the team a personal thank you email, I wrote a post about it. The features, the things I liked about it, and my experience with it. I wanted to write something bad about the plugin, to make it seem like a fair review, but couldn't come up with anything. So, I had to crack a joke about how it's so easy to use, I'm going to lose money in my business. :)

Here's a link to the review I wrote.

As far as my 2nd favorite plugin, I really can't even think of one that impresses me as much as Wysija. And no, I'm not an affiliate for their company or anything like that. I just loved the plugin!! (Especially since it's free)

I second Katrina's favorite - Yoast SEO. It's an awesome plugin for boosting SEO and it's free.

I could live without marketing plugin's...what I can't live without are my admin plugins like Jetpack/Askimet. Jetpack has a lot of tools built into 1 plugin and it's made by the creators of Wordpress.

That's why WordPress is great platform. Plug in's i'm using many mosyof them are for SEO on/off page. Think i'm making good. SeoPressor, All-in-One-Seo, Seo Friendly Img., SEO post link, WWSGD, WPSyndicator,
XML SiteMap, 404Redirect, Triberr, OnlyWire, Odiogo listen button, Blogging Rebirth, ... and some more.
-Blogging rebirth make all your posts in PDF doc and put them in directories you can use there also your google addsence it's fast and easy to use. At the end of every post you have it like PDF.
-Odiogo convert all your posts in audio after that you need only to submit it in some podcast directories, they are many and i'll not write them here but is not difficult to find.
-OnlyWire work good with LINK / CONTENT REMOVED by Carl the Cop, every post you made will be submit with OnlyWire on more than 50socialnetworks, digg, reddit, twitter, linkedin, Facebook pages, groups...e.t.c. on free version you have 300 submition low plan give you 1000 and cost 13$ there is many different plans you can choose till 20 000 submitions it's all UpTo You. Using OnlyWire together with LINK / CONTENT REMOVED by Carl the Cop is much powerful on TribePro you meet other marketers and you can syndicate, submite their content and they will make same for you. There is many tribes.
- Triberr is quite the same like TribePro syndicating meet other bloggers, marketers which can reblogg your posts, comment on your blog posts also you can find some guest writers for your blog or write content for some of members on Triberr
- 404Redirect is WP Plug in which will help you to avoid mistakes like 404 page not found. One time publish your page is crawled from spiders anything happen after you decide to change delete or e.t.c. Search engine keep the first bulication you made and that URL if someone look for that page will find "404 page not found" using google webmaster tool i found some 404 errors on my blog and found after that useful "404Redirect"
-Sitemapis something every one must have make your blogg/site visible for search engine. Also robot txt.
-WPSyndicator is again for syndication stand alone you are able to syndicate your post with anchor text to 10/15 diferent destination.
All that Plugin's i found useful for SEO off page. Syndication andsubmition is one of the most important thing to can drive more traffic to your blog.
- WWSGD is something i like, Displays a custom welcome message to new visitors and another to return visitors. Invite them to subscribe your RSS Feed.
-SEO post link Automatically make your post link short and SEO friendly by removing unnecessary words from your post slug. Can change add or cancel some words usefull for canonical links.
-Seo Friendly Img. - Automatically adds alt and title attributes to all your images. Improves traffic from search results and makes them W3C/xHTML valid as well.
-All-in-One-Seo it's one of my favorite. You can write title, subscription and keywords for your post.Much more useful options for your titles, categories e.t.c. I'm using Platinum SEO Pack. recomend for SEO onpage.
- SeoPressor and sure it's not the last place The best SEO ON page plug in. All what you need to can have the best optimization on your page post. Count keyword density, tags <h1, h2, h3> check your links and suggest rel="nofollow" check for your keyword in the last sentence. You have to link to one other post in your blog. Give you % for your keyword density and your optimization.
I'm using some other plug in's but these i describe here think is the most important for every one to drive traffic and trying to Rank on search engines.

Good Luck to all bloggers. For our success.Cheers
Wish you Great Week

I like free stuff, but there is little difference how it's work things. Free doesn't mean is not good. But better to check all options, benefits and to pay for what it's work for you. Sure if you find the best payed service things will be different. If you want ot make money, need to invest. If you are marketer be marketer. All web master work, seo off.... can be outsourced. So focus on market your business

You're more than welcome, Katrina. So far, I've still not heard anything bad about it. No complaints from me and none from my clients. Ba-da-ba-ba-ba..... I'm lovin' it. *laughs*
