The Power of Less

Postby David Allinson on Sun May 03, 2009 4:08 pm

Reading a great book: 'The Power Of Less' by Leo Babauta. "The lessons of haiku, of applying limitations in order to force choices, of choosing the essential and finding the Power of Less -- these are the lessons we can apply not only to the tasks on our to-do lists, but to everything in our lives. If there's any area of your life that is overwhelming you, and that you'd like to simplify, apply limitations."

Excellent and practical book with simple to follow tasks (in other words, it is not just some esoteric self-help book!).

Thank you for the recommendation David.
I just ordered my copy.

It sounds similar to the concepts of the 4 Hour Work Week, in which the author, Tim Ferris, describes cutting the distractions and inefficient activity out of your daily routine and focusing on efficient tasks in precise increments of time.

Eban Pagan also discusses this principle in his talk on the 3 Pillars of a Successful Business. Eban prescribes 2 hour bursts, of uninterrupted, undistracted, efficient, hyper focused activity.

Thanks again for the tip. I'll post again after I read it.
Cheers!
