We are fairly new to the network marketing business, however, we are fairly old to the world.
I have a real problem with looking at inane articles on the internet and recently came across one that said that nobody past their 20's should be in the internet marketing/MLM business.
Having worked with a team for the past year, I believe that the closer to retirement age someone is the better they do in the business. They are more organized and capable of working without constant supervision. To top it off, they are looking at what they will get when they retire (finding that it will only support their cat and not them) and so their determination to make a go of the business is really at maximum.
We were just curious as to what some of you more experienced MLMers found to be true in your recruiting. Older/experienced, or younger/technically savvy?

Hi Bob!
It really makes no difference whether you are older, experienced or younger and tech savvy. The fact is that you did get started in an MLM business. Being older has its advantages. For one, you are not dependent on that income since you have one already. A younger person is just starting out and need everything they can get their hands on to get started.
Other than that, both are about the same. Both need experience in MLM and a starting point. Who you connect with is next in importance. Your training and help you get to get you started is very important.
Being online marketing, there is no age. Your avatar is anything you want to be. How you build your business goes from there.

Mario,
I kind of agree with you. The older person too usually has that hunger to get financially secure. A lot are looking at what they will get with social security and realizing that they cannot afford to live on the money that they will get and they have watched 401K's crash and burn on Wall Street's roller coaster.
That said, you are right about who they get paired with in their up-line. If the up-line pays attention they will be able to utilize both of their strengths to build a really incredible team.

Because of the technology era many do feel that young people have the advantage. I think the motivated, dedicated individual has the advantage. Age is a number that does depict a persons experiences correctly. So i don't think its a matter of young or old.
