How To Get More Website Traffic Tips

1. Post classified ads some good ones are Craigslist, USfreeads, Kijiji, and Backpage.

2. Post in article directories Ezinearticles, Hubpages, Ehow, Articlesbase, Articledashboard, and Goarticles

3. Comment on blogs to increase your traffic related to whatever your website, or blog is about. The higher page ranked sites you point to the better. Usually these sites are very popular, and give you a quality backlink and traffic to your websites.

4. Start a Twitter account and build your followers list, send out tweets advertising your business

5. Social Networking sites add as many friends as possible on your myspace, or Facebook account. Send them bulletins asking them to check out your website.

6. Optimize your website for the search engines. Use Google adwords keyword tool to research keywords, for your website theme. Think highly searched, and low competition keywords to go after.

7. Ping your blogs after each new post

8. Bookmark all your articles, and website pages. Delicious and Digg are the ones I get the best response from. Also tweet them as well.

9. Start an email list, sooner rather than later. Building up a quality email list is essential in building up a substantial business!

Hi Jason, welcome to BN. You have a pretty good list there. I have a question for you, do you have a step-by-step plan on how to accomplish those things? It is one thing to tell someone to do something, it is another to tell them how to do it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

All of these are excellent suggestions - all are good approaches to generating traffic though you could focus your efforts a bit.

If you had to narrow it down and choose only two strategies I would go with the following.

Yep a good list - but here's the rub. Terribly time consuming, as I found out, to get rankings were they needed to be - on top of Google page one. Used up a huge amount of my time to achieve it!

Therefore I suggest that most of this be outsourced, so as to have time to work on your business - and not be bogged down working in your business.

I'm fairly new at this and am wondering if I should concentrate on responding to posts that are specific to my company rather than network marketing in general. I do have a website and am trying to put content out there, but where would my time be best spent for generating new prospects. These are just suggestions, outsourcing some of the work is beneficial if you have the money. It is very time consuming on your own trust me lol, but it works! If i had to concentrate all my time on 2 things it would be article marketing, and Search engine optimization. These 2 methods produce free long lasting targeted traffic. This is just a list on what I have found 2 work. Obviously do not spread yourself 2 thin, and concentrate on 1 or 2 things, and become skilled at those areas to grow your business. In response to Anthony I would concentrate on social marketing there's a huge base of people especially on Facebook, and Myspace. Add as many friends as possible, interact with new friends, Huge base for potential clients. I would put responding to posts secondary, even though it is a good way to generate leads! Concentrate on posting to forum posts that have a lot of views, when you do. The more eyeballs on your business the better. Try to be the first one to respond to a forum post that is related to your business if you can. Another useful tip I could give you would be copy and paste the title of a forum post to Google. If you see a lot of paid ads on the right hand side of that post, it has good ranking on the search engines. If you see a lot of paid ads it usually means these keywords are profitable. Which means free targeted traffic which equals money which equals free exposure for your business.

So you would definitely want to comment on a post related to your business that is getting a lot of traffic. Hope this helps Anthony, and nice to meet you! Just my 2 cents take it for what its worth...And use Google adsense to research your potential keywords!

Very good advise. I believe the article marketing and SEO are great ways to help get traffic to my website. I have found working full time and juggling the internet marketing on the side to be challenging time wise. I have begun with some outsourcing as I can afford it. It is helpful. I would love to be able to hire someone full time for promoting my site. That is in my plan!

I have found that it takes me all my time to blog twice or three times a week then post to other sites and submit to article sites.
I haven't found time for tweet or advertising yet. I don't know how others manage to do all the list you gave.
Does anyone here do everything on you list, if so how?
