A Good Photo is worth a thousand well said words

Postby Danny & Laura Johnson on Wed Jul 13, 2011 9:32 pm

As with the internet and other visuals ques this day and time. People are very sight and seen driven. That is why it is so important to have a couple of well known tips under your belt.

1. Have a clear photo where folks can see your eyes and expressions. Smile :P

2. The cleaner your face is the more trust worthy you appear.

3. Show teeth if possible. If you don't have teeth buy some. A seasoned mentor gave me that hint:

Just a few tips. More to come..

Have a Blessed Day,

Danny & Laura

Thanks Danny.
I had changed my photo here to try to show a better photo of me. I had one that was set so far back, you really couldn't tell who it was. I am still working on getting a better picture but this one shows every thing better and with a smile!
You can't beat that smile when you are trying to promote your products online. People will remember a smiling, friendly looking face to associate with when they are buying new products.
Others have told me not to smile on professional photos for some other reason I can't remember right now.
So what we have here is half!

You are a good example of that, Danny. And I would add use the same good photo everywhere. I now know when I see that photo, with your daughter looking over your shoulder that that is my good friend Danny Johnson! Another hint make sure its natural and looks like you. I had a professional, but it made me look stiff, so I went with a photo taken when I was at an event and branded with that one.

I agree wholeheartedly.

Does it matter if you're in business attire or casual clothing? I took pics while I was wearing a dress shirt and tie. (Even have one with me in a full suit.) The image for BN, you'll note, is of me in a casual shirt and pants.

The shirt and tie option is more professional looking, but the other makes me appear more relaxed and, possibly, more welcoming.

Is there a standard in the MLM world? Danny: Your pic is more of a professional one. Looks great. Have you ever used a more casual shot?

Anyone else?

What about "lifestyle" shots? You know, me walking along a beach with my beautiful girlfriend. Or me leaning up against my Benz in a parking lot...

I see a lot of those these days, especially on Facebook.

Smile, because you are on candid camera. LOL! Ok, maybe not, but you never know, so smile and dial as they say, and pray. Because again, you never know. Oh, and eat "snack healthy" for more energy to smile! :D

You are so right about needing a good photo.
Look...if you are in Network Marketing, it is about Networking. And who do we network with? Facebook? You-Tube? Twitter? Google?
Of course not!
We network with other people.
So there are two skills you have to master as a network marketer:
1. Learn how to take a friendly & natural head shot to establish your brand...that's YOUR LOGO!
2. Learn How to Talk to people without setting off salesman alarms.
Learning people skills is as important as learning those marketing skills!
