# 1 Success Tip for MLMers

Postby Charles Holmes on Wed Oct 19, 2011 4:53 am

If I had to share my favorite success tip with other MLMers, it would be this.

Make a written to do list every single day with the top 7 things you need to do that day. Rank the tasks in order of importance. Start with the first task and don't move to the second task until the first task is complete. Repeat this process until your to do list is done.

This helps me be productive every single day. My only other advice is to make sure you put tasks on your list that actually help you grow your business.

What is your # 1 success tip for MLMers. I look forward to hearing from you.

Chuck,

I'm pretty sure that this is not an exclusive tip to network marketers, but
Be True To Yourself!
It's simple, it's deep and, if you follow it with zeal, it will keep you out of a lot of trouble.

A corollary to that is
Think For Yourself!
This one is probably the finest advice I can give. Following others blindly does not serve. You are unique, you have an opinion, express yourself!

Determination is my #1 success tip. Once you set a target for yourself, no one and nothing can get in the way if you are fueled by determination. Everything else will follow.

It works for me.

Rick and Joe,

Determination and think for yourself are two wonderful ideas.

Does anyone else have any comments?

That is a very good practice and I do that every day. Doesn't have to be 7 that could vary, but it is about making sure your priorities get done. I have a loose leaf notebook and I have a check list and goals that I re-write everyday onto a new sheet for a new day. I can always assess at the end of the day whether I hit my goals for the day! :)

Creating lists and tracking my daily activities is a habit I got into a long time ago,
and I use lists in all areas of my life to, as Lynda said, make sure the priorities are
taken care of.

I have a spiral notebook on my desk that I use to track what I've done (even those
"goofing off" things) in one column and my list in a second column. LOVE checking
those items off when they're done! :)

At the end of the day I can see what I've accomplished, where I got sidetracked, and
then write my list for the next day on the next page.

Note: I keep these spirals and occasionally leaf through an older one. Lets me see my
progress/improvement.

This is a biggie. A lot of people want to achieve success at home but don't plan anything for it. They just start something and don't set any goals. It's great that they took action and got started, but they need to set goals to help them continue with their efforts.

It's not enough want to do something. You have to set mini goals and accomplish them. And when you do you have to reward yourself. This also helps you keep track. You won't know how much you've achieved if you don't track your progress.

-Keep an organizer: This tip was actually given to me by my girlfriend. And it's obviously not new, but I finally received the revelation to adopt it when my girlfriend explained it to me. Having a calendar or organizer helps you save time. It gives you focus. I remember knowing that when I didn't have a to-do list my day was all over the place. But once I organized my time, my productivity increased.

-25 Minute Bursts: This is a psychological tip researchers discovered to help people achieve more in less time. The object of this technique is to work at something as much as you can for 25 minutes. And then take a 5 min break. The human mind has excellent attention within these 25mins. After that we start to lose focus and don't progress much from there. You do the 25 min work followed by 5 min break for 4 cycles. And you could to anything withing the 5 min break. As long as you take your mind off of work

Great Tip. My goal is to show the world how to succeed and achieve greatness in everything they do. Your tip is awesomeness!

rinse and repeat!! and also make sure you are adding to that list to grow yourself and to really talk to people don't disillusion yourself thinking that cannot be part of your list!

I must frankly agree to this. It's not a determination, in most cases, it should be written as THE DETERMINATION.

Personally I am struggling with the very same thing. I joined this business very recently and found out that all the motivation stuff linked to it is simply something to strengthen our determination.

What is an essential problem in my country is that our state provides for its citizens and they can freely survive and live well, while doing literally nothing. Of course, they will never reach financial freedom, but they have no idea, what does that mean, so they don't know, what they are losing. That's connected with very poor education and something I myself call an "institutionalization" - our schools will teach you, how to somewhat pass the exams, no matter of your real skills and knowledge and then throw you outside on the street with recommendation to find a normal, nice work, get something around average month income, get a wife, 2 kids and live happily ever after. This tradition goes so damn deep within our country tradition that frankly nobody or very few individuals are capable of grasping the wider picture and when they are presented with "an opportunity" to be financially independent, they simply don't care, because rule n. 1 in this business is to be active, dedicated and get good at presenting your products or services to other people and why of course would these people do that and waste their time, when our state will always take care of them, provide for them, etc.

So to get to my point, dedication is very important, especially at the very beginning (that's where I am right now) and all I've met so far (past month) was denial, laughter, doubts and insults. :ugeek:

Cheers,
George S.
