Best Personal Development Books!
I am putting together a special fast start from new team members. I feel that mindset is the most important thing in network marketing and the biggest cause of people quitting. So I want to make sure that I don't miss anything. Give me your best books, CD etc. for personal development.

Re: Best Personal Development Books!
Hi Jay, just this morning I was also thinking about posting on this subject.
I think a must read for any new NWM is "Who Stole the American Dream: The Book Your Boss Doesn't Want You to Read", by Burke Hedges (Author)
I am not sure where to get it now, but it is worth tracking down and purchasing.
Also, Your First Year in Network Marketing: Overcome Your Fears, Experience Success, and Achieve Your Dreams! by Rene Reid Yarnell and Mark Yarnell
These guy's are old schooler's but their message still resonates.
Another great resource fro some good training on MLM/NWM is http://www.networkingtimes.com
Don't forget about Robert Kiyosaki's two books, "The Business of the 21st Century" by Robert T. Kiyosaki and...
"Rich Dad's The Business School: For People Who Like Helping People" by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon L. Lechter

Re: Best Personal Development Books!
Thank you for these posts, I have recorded the books on my book list. I am new to network marketing and
I think some of my biggest challenges are carving time out and then knowing where to spend the greatest amount of energy with the time I do have. I don't have 16 uninterrupted hours a day, I might have 3, and then possibly 2 more but they are filled with the chaos of 4 kids.
I recently read Eat That Frog by Brian Tracy and that has helped me, but I need more help! So again, thanks! I will be looking on Amazon for them!

Hey Melanie,
Yes most people that get started in network marketing are part time and so 2-4 hours a day is fine it will just take longer than someone full time. One book I recommend to everyone is "Your First Year in Network Marketing" by Mark Yarnell it is one of the best books a new network marketer can read. There really is all kinds of time in your day you can find if your willing to give up a few things. You have to focus most of your time on income producing tasks like prospecting, showing the plan, selling products and of course follow up. Now remember the time so you are not trying to follow up with someone at midnight so schedule your tasks accordingly and remember there are different time zones so you can plan to call people later on the west coast if your on the east coast.
To your success!

Re: Best Personal Development Books!
Jay...Although I can think of many I have read and recommended, the best personal development book I've ever read was my Business Journal.
In that book, I've kept all of my breakthrough moments, struggles and accomplishments. Some of those breakthroughs and accomplishments came through what I learned in the countless personal development books, but it was what I got from taking the action that I learned the most. And, by recording those times, sharing those and revisiting them, that in my mind is priceless material I know I can "never" get from a book.
Definitely get yourself a Journal and start recording right away.
