Could you combine affiliate marketing and mlm together?
I mean. when recruiting and selling products for your mlm business.
Could you create a sales page and have affiliates market for you for half of the commissions?
just a thought,

MLM with a few affiliate programs thrown in at the back end. That way the focus is always on the MLM aspect (where the long term, residual, passive income is) and the affiliate programs they buy are only the ones that are needed (eliminates overwhelm) and keeps everyone from clicking/buying/taking every shiny nickel that shows up.

Re: Affiliate Marketing or MLM
This is going to be very easy for me to talk about.
I will make it short because I don't want to bore people here.
I started online back in 2002. Failed for 5 years but then I found a good mentor who taught me how to do affiliate marketing the right way. After that 5 years, I started to earn an OK full time income online with affiliate programs within a few short months.
I never focused on MLM online and only affiliate programs. The problem with regular affiliate programs is that when you stop promoting, the money stops too. You make a quick commission and the money stops too from that customer.
I have sold 3000+ work at home opportunities in 4 years that made me a one time commission and today I have $0 sales from them.
If you want to go that way, and I know that many do, you will come back in a few years and complain why you are not making real money and why you are still stuck in the same place.
With MLM on the other hand, for the same efforts that you make to sell regular affiliate programs, you get to earn residual income and income from the efforts of other people.
I will never promote affiliate programs ever again.

Profit from your downline, globally. All sectors of goods and services are included. Forget auto-ship, monthly fees, recruiting investors and selling products. Earn from everything that your downline buys. The world of MLM has changed!

Wow Michelle & Bill, This is an Interesting Question...
Personally, I have my Own Business, which has an Element of Both Affiliate Marketing & MLM in it. MLM obviously has Longer term Residual Income, which when the Business Model is Followed and Stuck to, will make you a serious amount of money, without question.
Applied Education is the Difference

Hello Guys according to my thinking Affiliate marketing is a kind of marketing in which a business benefits one or more affiliates for each customer delivered about by the affiliate marketer's own marketing projects.
While (MLM) Multi level promotion is a technique in which the revenue staff is paid not only for revenue but also for the revenue of the other sales men that they hire. Thanks!!

More or less, that's right. The pefect business model in my opinion, is the one that combines affiliate marketing with an MLM compensation plan. In other words, when you make money because you advertise, say Shell or BP, but at the same time, you earn money even when people shop from the advertised places, without you being the referral/recommender.

Absolutely both. MLM definitely has the long term residual income to it but both affiliates and MLM companies come and go therefore it is best to build your own list and then decide if you want to present them to an affiliate or MLM opportunity. Lets face it the money is in your list.
