Your Destiny

*Is what you decide it will be

*Lies in the palm of your own hands

*You must see the invisible to do the impossible

*You will pay the price of winning or the price of losing

*There is nothing more powerful than a made up mind

*No tool has been developed to break the bonds of people united in a cause

*Don't step down or step aside, just step up . . .

Ask yourself:  "Am I where I need to be?  Am I in the mindset of winning?

To win in business is not a one time seminar or a one time cd, it is an approach.

Mindset Personal Development

Certainly, it is true that right mindset is critical to success.

Too often though, we have on our teams, brave and inspired souls who really have a positive attitude and a persevering spirit, but who truly lack the skills to succeed in a relationship business.  While most of us are sensitive on a truly personal level, it is imperative that encouragement and training be offered to those who have never had formal sales training courses.

Some of us understand this intuitively, but most need to learn simple things, like learning to write down in a journal or calendar who you met on that day, what their children's names are, whether or not their spouse was ill....  whatever personal information that person shared in conversation, so that when the opportunity arises for that second meeting, you can look back in your calendar, refresh your memory and be able to ask how those children are, or if the spouse is feeling better, etc.

This may sound staged, but the truth is that most of us really do care, but become preoccupied with our own life experiences.  We tend to block out and to forget what sounds like everday incidentals, but those shared personal tidbits were really important to the other person who shared them with us.

My experience has been that people, when asked at a later time about the personal information previously shared with me, are genuinely thrilled that some one actually cared enough about them to remember the first conversation.  More than any closing technique I was ever taught, or any flip chart presentation I ever made, my business grew the most because I was interested in them, the person... not just in what I wanted them to do or to buy.

Re: Mindset - Personal Development

Judy,

Outstanding info! You are so correct - what makes a person interesting is when they are interested in others. Thanks for being a part of the 180 Days To Greatness Group. I think we'll learn a lot from each other and be able to share with others.
