Head Spinning From Newbie Overwhelm: Quick Start Tip

Group: Better Networker Newbies Guide

Read More: Marketing  |  Social Networking

So you've read an e-book or 20... Still "nada guru"?

I was just on the phone with on of my training client who also happens to be my aunt (Debbie). When she called I was telling her how much fun I was having in the forums and she mentioned she wasn't having any fun at all in her online network marketing and social networking efforts!

When I asked her what the trouble was I discovered a few issues I know other newbies are bound to be experiencing as well, and this is it...

Now you know all this "how to stuff" where do you start?

Before you engage in any more self branding... any more dilly dallying and head scratching let me give you a quick easy tip.

Become a Voyeur ;-)

You see, out in public voyeurism can get me odd stares and even into fights but, here on the Internet it can make you expert, attract leads and earn you cash... eventually even make you financially free (just ask Ferny and Ray).

Discovering you target market right under your nose.

So you know your suppose to add all this "valuable content" but you're wondering what to say in your articles, blogs, videos etc.

Just look around the communities you frequent or find some that are specific to your niche (ie. health, wellness, beauty, cars, telecom, real estate, credit etc.) see what the "buzz" is already about.

Have an opinion on a specific topic and share it...test it out. Some will create immediate responses  and others will flop but you will get better. Sometimes the worst part is a crappy headline but more on that in another article, I promise!

That's how this group got started and we already have a steady, growing group. We say what newbies were posting over and over... and over (thank you guys!). We saw a need and had the skills and desire to respond to it.

Oh, and speaking of responses...

Don't get discoraged if you don't get any responses at all to your posts in social networks. It doesn't mean that people aren't getting benefit from your content. A successful peice of content isn't measured only by replies or comments, don't forget about traffic and click throughs to your blogs/websites (you do have at least one of those, right?)

Now here's what I'd like you to do:

See if you can pick up on some hot topics right here on better networker and post them here. (hint: the flames next to the posts are clues ;-) )

Your partner in newbie success,

Malika

"Become a Voyeur" LMAO

"Become a Voyeur"

LMAO Malika. This is why I like you. And to use your 'tip', this is going into my 'swipe file'. Can you imagine the headlines that can be created with this little gem?

" Discover How A 50yr Old Grandmother Legally Used Her Penchant for Voyeurism To Build A Highly Lucrative, Internet Marketing Career, Without Spending A Single Night In Jail"

LOLOLOL...

Wow Susan,

I guess it's well enough... I've swiped so much it's hard to separate original stuff from what I "swiped from others"! I LOVE the head line... You should delete it before someone else swipes it. lololol

Whats funny is now, I see headline EVERYWHERE too: "Headlines, Headlines Everywhere You'll see them too If You Stare" 8-)... ROFL. I'll let you know how the open rate goes, tell me how yours works too!

Great Headlines

Where do I sign up to that Grandmother voyeurism report?

How much do you charge for your Copy Writing skills Susan??

Good tip Malika.  As soon as you put out an opinion people with either agree or disagree - either way you are generating "buzz."

Great encouragement Malika

Thanks for this post Malika.  You're right. I think what hold most people back from writing an article or creating a content is the worry of how to get started and how create a headline.  What I learn was, you have to find a content or healine that you're excited about and just write from your heart. I'm not an expert writing article, but I write to help people and inform them it doesnt matter whether people are giving me feedback but I do know the more I do the more I get better.  I started with http://www.articlesbase.com It's a good start for begginers. They give you enough time to edit your article even after you submit it. It's free to submit your content on there. We thank you for giving us a bigger picture about getting started and writing.  Anyone interested in know how to find free article directories visit me at htttp://www.thinkrichnow1.blogspot.com  May success come your way

"Proud Mary" style marketing

Okay. I am really getting started now. I feel like Tina Turner in the song "Proud Mary". I'm going to take the beginning of this venture and do it nice and slow. But then I'm going to do the rest nice and rough. Keep watching and see me shake it up! Proud to be a newbie and sharing with you Malika.

Susan, that's Funny! ... and Malika, very good post! Thank you!

As far as voyeurism goes, make sure to study what succesful people do online. That will give you a general education.

But, make sure while you are online studying that you don't get "monetized" heavily. What I mean is, don't buy MLM ebook after MLM ebook hoping to get the answers to how to do things correctly. Find a mentor instead and that person will coach you for free and will shorten your learning curve by years and save you thousands of  dollars.

You can get more information about how to become a successful newbie without spending yourself into the poor house by watching my video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbcjtF5YoVQ

Keep going everyone and keep having fun! Long-term residual income is real, as long as you put all of the pieces together correctly (inside and out). I've been earning a monthly check since July 2002 from a previous company. Putting the peices together for yourself is a journey that will be very challenging but very very rewarding too.

Hi Michell

This is a great forum for newbies - we have all been there so just go through things at your own pace and you will get there! Wishing you every success online and finding which techniques suit you best - better to master a few first and not try everything (I made this mistake!) Good luck

I've Always Been A Voyeur

One of business mentors told me a long time ago,"You want to be successful watch and surround yourself with other successful people" Its a great way to develop an abundance mindset,I like what you said about responses to your content, not everyone is going to responde to your posts or articles, don't worry about it,just keep plugging away persistence makes perfect.
