I'm just starting to use my Magnatic Sponsoring -- I purchased the book but never set up my site.  Is there anyone out there that can help me set things up so i can begin using the tools to generate more business.

Thanks in advance,
De'Janiera

I'm With You...

Hi De'Janiera,

I am right with you. I can't offer you any help as I just got mine too, but I could really use some help from anyone that has experience with setting up your own account. It seems so simple and yet I don't know what to do. I could also use help with making a signature that say's something other than your http://address, like (look here!) and they click it and it takes them where you want them to go. I know that there are directions on how to do it on this site, but I would like to know how to do it everywhere I go. I also would like to know how to put something into an article or newsletter that says (click here) and it takes them to where you want them to go. Can you tell that I am really new to this stuff. Sorry, I didn't mean to take over your post, but perhaps we can both learn from this.

Hi De'Janiera Exactly which

Hi De'Janiera

Exactly which site do you need help setting up? Are you talking about your MS affiliate site? If so, you don't need to set this up. It's already done for you. Simply log into your back office to get all your links and the training material you need to get you started.

If you are wanting help with setting up your own website, then that is a different topic altogether but we can certainly offer some advice in that area if that's what you are looking for.

Hi Patricia The directions

Hi Patricia

The directions for setting up your signature link here on BN are pretty similar on most other forums. Whichever forum you participate in will usually have a 'User Control Panel' where you can put in a signature to show up on all your posts. And most of them also use BBcode, which is what is used here at BN.

Making the signature say something other than the address is simple enough (if I can explain it).

Type in the text you want to show, eg. Click Here.

Highlight the text and select URL from the options at the top. This will surround your text with brackets containing the 'url' command, like this [url] Click Here [/url]

Insert your cursor just after the first 'url' command but still within that first set of brackets.

Type in =theaddressyouwanttosendpeopleto.com

The text 'Click Here' will then become a clickable link to the address you want.

It will look like this when you have finished.

[url  =http://yourdomain.com]Click Here[/url] Note that I have put spaces between 'url' and the equal sign in order to stop it turning into a link. You should not put in any spaces!

To do this in an article or a newsletter you have to do it slightly differently. Using the dreaded HTML, lol

Instead of brackets you use the chevrons on your keyboard < > (shift and comma/shift and full stop)

You would write your html link like this:

<a  href="http://www.yourdomain.com./">Click Here</a> Remember to put the quotes around your url address.

Hope this helps.

Also hope I've got the HTML correct! If not, someone please correct me. :)

MS information

You should have a back office to log into with Magnetic Sponsoring.
Use the following link if you need: http://magneticsponsoringonline.com/f/wcp/login/index.do
Once you are logged in follow the links on that page and read those instructions.
This should get you started in the right direction.

There is a lot of information to absorb so take your time.

Help's Free

The easiest way for you to set up a link is to buy a domain name - you can make it your name .com or think of another name related to what you are doing.

Godaddy.com is probably the most common choice of cheap domain names although I am switching to namecheap.com for reasons perhaps a little more advanced.

Anyway, once you have a domain registered for around $10 you can redirect it to your affiliate link at magnetic sponsoring.  The advantage of this is as described in MS it looks more professional, is easier to remember, and means you won't lose so many commisions.

A bonus is the fact you get your own email address.  So you can have your first name@whatever.com   or you can have coach@whatever.com  the choices are endless.

If you would like to do this and need help feel free to message me, or for any other help.

Let's get you making money  :)

Printed Out Directions...

Hi Susan, Thank you so very much! I have printed out your directions so that I can refer back to them. It seems so simple when you put it all down, and yet for the life of me I couldn't figure it out. I knew this was the place to ask the question. You guys are all great!
