Question about new contacts

When I had requested to be friends with someone and they accepted, I clicked on the link that was sent to my e-mail  and it went to my page. Now the e-mail did not have this person's name just her user name. There is no way for me to send her a message and I can't tell by looking at all my contacts pictures who it is. When a person responds to a request is there not a place for them to write youa  note? or is there a place to find recent contacts? And this thing won't let me post unless I put in a topic and a sub topic. Nothing I'm asking is in these catagories.

I'm new to Betternetworker, please help

Karla

Replying to Friend request

In your profile you should see a Friend request.

This will allow you to approve the friend request.

Once Approved you will see the friend connection in your connections window.

Thanks Robert

I was the one who requested the friendship. I received an e-mail from betternetworkers saying that she had accepted my friendship but when I clicked on the link in ht e-mail it went to my profile. With no name on the e-mail I don't know who the person is. I looked in my contacts but I can tell todays from last weeks.

Thanks

Karla

Don't you hate it when that happens.

Hi Karla,

I know your frustration and changes are due to be made so that we get a link to their profile in the email.

Usually if you go to your contacts list it will be the last contact on the list, although that seems to change a bit if it took them a while to accept your friend request.

Good luck,
Dean.

Sorry for my

Sorry for my misunderstanding.

I see what you are saying. Thanks for the clarification Dean.

I think some of the links you receive in emails get cut short and direct you to the next level up from it.

They call that a "feature" by the programmers.

Would be nice if they fixed that.

There also seems to be a

There also seems to be a coding bug in the friend requests - the last two I clicked through to accept were pointing at the wrong profiles.

Unfortunately there are

Unfortunately there are still some issues that need fixing here at BN. But as they say, "Rome wasn't built in a day". All we can do is feedback with problems and requests. They seem to get sorted pretty quickly, but some will take more time than others.

Karla, I fully understand the frustration of your post not fitting into a category/sub category. I've often struggled with knowing which category to use myself. So I'm off to take my own advice!

Links to accept friends and associates

I have only been a member for 4 days, and I have received requests to be someones friend and or associate, and have clicked to accept. Then it would show someone else's name or page. I totally understand the new growing pains. At this time, I have no problem with any of it. Just learning the Better Networker myself. We both seem to have growing pains.

Thanks to all of you for commenting

I appreciate all the input I got on my questions. I'm not sure that I ever did figure it out as I had a new contact this evening and clicked on the link and it went to my profile. I looked at all my friends and still couldn't tell who it was that was my new friend. Thats ok I am writing everyone and wishing them Happy Holidays anyway.
