Read More: Alright... so it's not 50 leads per day, or 30... or even 10. But these are solid, paying leads that funded my marketing and produced results for my business. 4-7 of them from a single traffic source! And the leads got one heck of a return on their time and money investment. How cool is that? And the best part is that YOU can easily do the same.
So if you are ready... here it is. I used ... (drum roll....)
eBay.
You're thinking... what? eBay? Yes, eBay. I know for most of us we still think of eBay as a place to sell stuff be it the collector's edition of Beanie Babies (TM), the laptop computer with 4GB of hard drive and 32MB of memory, or whatever random crap we've got lying around the house. Or maybe you recognize eBay as the place to get stuff for cheap since you get to name the price.
Well, in summary eBay is the ultimate buy-sell network, and that means people are driven to BUY, to take action. You get a much higher concentration of people who are ready to buy on eBay than through Google or MSN or Yahoo. Mike (Dillard) mentioned this in Building On A Budget so if you have not purchased BOAB pick up a copy here.
***** A few key advantages of using eBay *****
1) Search engine optimized.
2) It's an authority site.
3) Traffic is pretty much instant.
4) It's cheap.
5) Motivated buyers ALL THE TIME.
6) You can actually have a "STATIC" page on eBay.
***** What I did *****
Please note that I've been using this method to generate product leads, not business leads. Building On A Budget bonus mp3 has a good example of a succesful campaign for business leads.
eBay now has stirct rules about info products that are digitally delivered. Make sure you abide by those rules or else you'll get shut down. Otherwise it works like a charm.
Regular auction (must sell a tangible product | the longest auction CAN NOW STAY ON FOR AS LONG AS YOU WANT, effectively making the auction a "STATIC" webpage and very cheap to list, like $0.50 | generally no front-end lead capture | must pay final value fees)
1) I set up my auction page that sells a HIGH-VALUE product that complements the products/services from my MLM biz. For example, a $0.99 eBook by a seasoned Hollywood makeup artists that reveal the makeup secrets of the stars. And it helps if one of the stars happens to be the spokesperson of your MLM's makeup line.
2) My customers gladly pay for the product I sell on eBay.
3) Some customers (~13% of them) create back-end profits for me through the products/services from my MLM biz.
4) I put together a weekly newsletter and tell them that I'll keep providing newer, more updated info products similar to what they bought from me on eBay for free if they opt-in to my list.... Or else, I'll gladly have them pay me for it without opting in.
Classifieds (digital products | $9.95 listing fee for every 30 days and can continue indefinitely | the page is essentially static if you choose "keep until cancel" | Front-end lead capture is encouraged because you can't "sell" the products directly through eBay.)
1) I set up my classifieds page that gives out for free a HIGH-VALUE product that complements the products/services from my MLM.
2) My customers MUST opt-in to my list to obtain that product or more info regarding that product... since eBay does not allow you to transact anything you post through classified ads.
3) Some prospects (~21% of them) become paying customers by creating back-end profits for me through the products/services from my MLM biz.
4) I put together a weekly newsletter to keep serving them as customers.

I have sold info products on eba in the past and found that alone is a massive field to work in. Do you use a plash page to capture the details from the auction or is everything done post sale. I know ebay can be funny about links off auctions but I was passed on a few tip to get around that. Put further information on your splash page about the product and then you can link to it. The other thing that is iften over looked is the about me page. That can produce lots of leads you can link from it and ask people there to sign up for a newsletter etc.
