This is a really common question when people are just starting out online.

They go out and buy a domain name like they are told to (and it is a good idea to do so), but then they don't know what to do with it.

Many of us start out by signing up for all the Get Rich Quick scams going, buy the ebooks, sign up for affiliate products all over the net and then post them on our website.

The trouble is we haven't made money online yet and we are trying to sell How To Make Money Online products - and honestly ... it shows.

If you really want to know what to with your website read this article by Perry Marshall.

It breaks down how to start online in a simple and yet excellent plan.

Do this and you will have a much better chance of making your first dollar online - do it well and you will make more than "lunch money."

Good luck.

Home Truths

Great article Dean. I've done this myself and I think it's one of the failures of a lot of good IM stuff out there.

The first thing that happens when you buy something is they tell you to go out and recommend it so you can start earning money. What they should do is prohibit you from selling it until you've studied and implemented it. Might be a few less clogged up hard drives out there, and a few more successful home business owners.

what do I do ?

Hi Dean

Thank you very much for that. And for telling me about Perry Marshall. He really hits home with this article.  How many of us out here are doing the very thing.

He gives good reasons why one should follow that list of all the the skills and talents we all possess and if we should really look deep inside ourselves, we would find where we belong.

Eventually, we could all quit kicking ourselves in the backside for throwing good money after bad, buying and buying and trying to sell what we don't even have.

Thank you

Sandy

Sad But True

Many of us lured online by promises of great wealth with little or no effort.

Unfortunately, although it is possible it isn't quite the way it is marketed.

It beats having a day job though :)
