I need some direction
Group: Better Networker ResultsHello everyone,
My name is Tony and I am in need of some advice. I have recently joined a health & wellness company about 2 weeks ago and have had zero progress thus far. This is greatly due to the fact that my mother is very ill and I have not been able to work with my sponser much at all. All I have managed thus far is increased my debt and pushed away my friends and family. At this time it is fair to say that I am desperate. My wife and I are expecting our first child any day now and I am frantic trying to get this rolling. I need the income to start rolling in yesterday... I dont have a clue on how to market this opportunity or where to begin. Everything I am reading now goes against everything I was taught by my company and now I am confused more than ever. I was hoping that someone here could show me the light and clear things up for me. My clock is nearly run out and my time is now.. Thank you in advance for your time and knowledge.

Health and Wellness
A lot of the selling and marketing tactics of Health and Wellness companies are the opposite of attraction marketing and everything this site is all about. Those type of companies are one of the older types of MLM companies out there and they employ a lot of out dated when it comes to building your business.
This may be why you are getting confused and feeling lost. However, you can definitley apply what you learn here to your business...

You Need To Get Your Business Going
Desperation is the worst enemy. I don't know what you hear and what you have been told, but if you think that money will roll in this week i do have to say it is not going to happened.
Maybe if you know how to and where to you can get results, but basically you are a newbie and you dreamed of making money working from home, but don't have the discipline of running your business.
First you need to dedicate yourself to your business, and if you are not willing to do that, you are done.
Second you need learn anything about marketing this product and if you are not willing to do that, you are done.
Third you need to learn everything about your products so you know what you are talking about when you talk to your prospect, if you are not willing to do that, you are done.
And i truly hope that this product brings value to you , because if it isn't valuable for you how can you expect your prospect to see value.
I could go on and on and on.
Basically you have to face the facts. You signed up for something you don't understand. From your question alone i see you have no idea whats going on. It is up to you to take action and get things going.
Let me ask you that,
Did you go through the training materials from your company, if they have any?
Did you contact your sponsor about teaching you on how to do stuff? If he doesn't answer, i have to say that he sucks.
Did your research on how to market or advertise the product?
Did you take advantage of any material provided to you through your Company?
Those are things you should be concered about, instead of making money.
Making money will follow your Marketing Action.
Be Active, and start beeing a business owner.
I don't mean to be rude. But i want to give you a wake up call. I could put in my link to my website
which shows you marketing strategy, but that is not the point.
I invite you to contact me, if you have any question. I can help if you want me to. But it will not be overnight success.
thomas.lierzer@gmail.com send me an email if you are ready to talk.
Good luck, Thomas Lierzer
Request for Help
Tony,
I apologize on behalf of one of the other repsondents. You asked for help and part of what you got was arrogance and condescension. I thought the whole point of attraction marketing is to attract folks as a result of being willing to help, not attack them.
Poor people skills aside, it is true that network marketing and direct sales business models take time to develop. Selling from the position of desperation is, to put it mildly, difficult. Often when a person is desperate, their verbal communication won't be congruent with their non-verbal communication. This incongruency tends to undermine prospects' confidence.
I personally believe that a blanaced approach between on-line and off-line prospecting is the way to go. Many top independent trainers like Doug Firebaugh and John Di Lemme teach this as well. There's plenty of help in the BN community regarding on-line strategies. If you'd like some help with attracting prospects in off-line scenarios, feel free to email me to arrange a time for us to visit on the phone. I'm more than willing to carve out some time to share some concepts you may not be hearing anywhere else.

Use your time and energy wisely
Tony, I understand how bad it might be for you. Been there myself.

Hi there
A networkmarketing business is the same as a brick and morter business. At least it needs to be treated the same. All the principles of marketing apply. Meet people (off line and online), give others what they are looking for and you will get what you are looking for. Treat your new business as a business - attend your local Chamber meetings, attend local Networking Events, meet people, help others ect. You will not be getting huge rewards right away - it comes over time. This is true for any business. If you are profitable in the first year of doing any business then you are doing well. Keep positive and grow personally and you will succeed.

Health and wellness companies and support
Tony,
You are not the only person who feels abandoned by the person who signs you up for an MLM business. First let me say that all MLM business opportunities are bad infact they are becoming the wave of the future in our interesting economy. You have taken a big step and congratulate yourself for the decision.
The first thing you should do is call your sponsor and if possible that person's sponsor and ask for guidance. NO HYPE YOU NEED direction.
2. you should not have to warehouse product yes, invest in your business but do not go broke for your business be wise in your choices. It appears you have immediate needs for your family
3. Create a 60 second commercial for yourself. Most newbees talk - talk - talk and do not listen to the person they want to share the experience with. talk then zip it shut so folks can respond with questions.
4. Ask a person about them - stop selling and ask them what their needs are. Believe it or not it is not about you yet about you being of service to them. Be of value to them and earn their respect. (yes I know that this approach is not putting immediate money on the table yet it will build a business with longentivity)
5. Investigate joining organizations like BNI visit www.BNI.com and see if there is a chapter in your community. Visit the Chamber of Commerce for your community and go to their mixers and LISTEN and collect 2 business cards. (if you want call me and I will tell you what you can do with the second card)
6. Be mature enough when a person says no thank them for the opportunity. If you leave good feelings you may actually get a referral from them to someone else they feel would benefit from your service.
7. Be respectful and persistent

Great posts Dotty and Ed...
You are absolutely right, starting and maintaining any business is a lot of work. And realizing that business is not all about money is the first priority everyone should accept and understand. If you are genuine in how you carry yourself and in how you interact with other people, it will be very easy for the money to follow. Network marketing is all about people. People can either hinder your success or help you prosper well beyond anything you could ever imagine. It's all starts on the inside. The end results are determined by how well you can maintain your best self on the outside when you build relationships. Be yourself and you'll be surprised how far that will take you. Good luck with your life and your business.
