What It Takes To Be A Great Leader Part 1

The first thing we must recognize a great leader has to have in this business is knowledge. This applies to leaders in all industries but specifically in the networking industry. A leader without knowledge cannot encourage others to pursue knowledge if they themselves are not actively seeking more knowledge.

A great leader needs knowledge in three very important areas:

1.)  Knowledge of the products or services you are promoting - That sounds simple enough but simplicity sometimes is made complicated in this business. If there is a training of your business, your product, or your service then a great leader makes every effort to attend those trainings. A leader who is not at the trainings cannot set an example to others to attend the trainings and therefore your downline will not be attending

2.)  Knowledge in Personal Development - We can all agree that personal development is essential in not only staying in this game we call network marketing but succeeding in it.  Without personal development the struggles we encounter, the mindset we need to grow, and the correct values we need to implement will never become a part of our lives and if they are not a part of our lives they will not become a part of the lives of our downline

3.)  Knowledge of how to prospect and market -  After all, this is the heart of our business. We can have all the personal development we want and all the knowledge of our product or service we need but without prospecting and marketing it then it becomes useless.  This is where we must sit under the leadership and experts of people in these areas who may or may not be with our company but know what it takes to win in life and to win in network marketing and to learn all the nuggets of information can from them.
