Rule #3 - Effective Health and Wellness CopyWriting - Dr. Orville Campbell

Speed Kills

When writing articles, newsletters or sales pieces in health and wellness (or any other subject for that matter), it is imperative that you not only sound like you know what you are saying but actually know what you are saying. Do your research. Cite your sources and NEVER copy word for word anyone's work unless you put it in quotes and give proper credit. Don't cite just any source or reference. Use sources that are deemed expert in a topic. Using "Aunt Suzy's guide to Sleeping Well" is probably not a good source for writing an article on Sleep Disturbances. Remember, Speed Kills! Take your time. Give your work an eye catching Title. Do an outline before you begin to write; then take the time to fill in the details. Use correct grammar as well. Writing medical or health copy is unlike most copy. Good grammar gives you credibility.
