A Wonderful Story

Hey Folks,

Just last week I had reached out to a buddy of mine that I had previously went to church with at Grace Chapel Church of Christ. He was having some challenges with his relationship with his brother and sister inlaw, who also attend church there. Three weeks prior, he had said that he had wanted to check out my current church, Free Chapel (Jentezen Franklin's Church) and I had told him to call me when ever he was ready.

Last week after not hearing from him, I called him on Sunday Morning and asked if he would like to come. I met Steve there and he proceeded to tell me of how he was out of a job and really having a rough time in his relationships with women as well as family. Steve is a chef by trade. I prayed for him and he attended one of the most powerful services I have ever been a part of. Oh by the way, he also had about $.32 to his name. He Thanked me for inviting him and he really felt the spirit move his heart in that service.

After Church, I talked with my wife about Steve and felt in my heart that we needed to help him in this time of need. I went out and got him a $100 Visa debit card and called him up to meet with him and hand him a small gift.

Just yesterday, he calls me up and tells me this story. The pastor from Grace Chapel happened to be eating at a new restaurant in town and enjoyed it very much. He was talking with the owners and they proceeded to tell him that they were looking for a Chef. Pastor Kurt calls Steve and says "You need to get to this restaurant, like now, I think I may have found a job for you." Steve meets with the wife of the owner, who is very impressed with Steve, calls her husband and says, "You need to get down here now, I think we have found our chef." Ten minutes later, The Husband (owner of the restaurant) gets there and really connects with Steve, hiring him on the spot.

Well, the owner proceeds to tell Steve that he attends Free Chapel and had came forward during an alter call the previous Weds. and had prayed that god would put a worthy chef for their restaurant in their path and through the annoynting, it happened.
