A Couple Of Idea's

Hi Ian,

Have you read MS or The Renegade? These are great resourses of tips and techniques to do this very thing, get people to you and what you offer.

If I can help, send me a message. I'll do what I can. I've gotten loads of tips from both and would be happy to pass them along.

What you can do for free

Ian,

I don't know what your marketing budget is, but even if it is non-exsistent there are ways to get your name out and getting people to your site.

The ways that would work for you really depend on what your skills are and how much you know and/or are willing to learn.(Article writing, blogs, videos, forums, social networking, etc.)

As Michelle said, both Magnetic Sponsoring and Renegade Marketing are good materials and you can pull lots of good information from them. However, the most important thing is that you find your niche and draw people to you.

All good advice will lead you to this end. Eventually, you are the best thing for your business! Find ways both on and offline that will get people to know how much you know and how much you will do to help others build their businesses. When you make yourself a valuable asset to others, they will want to follow you.

Hi Michelle

Thanks for advising me to read MS, I have read it a few times, I am also working my way through MLM Traffic Formula. A whole host of information there that I find a little overwhelming.

At the moment I am subscribed to List Joe and Viral URL and a few social networking sites. Have not had a bite yet though. What methods of marketing do you use?

Hi Dave

Thanks for getting back to me. I have a great system in place, I am just trying to get more people to it on low cost. I have tried Viral URL and List Joe as well as social networking sites as Yuwie but have had no bites yet. What methods do you use Dave?

I've been there Ian...

Hey Ian,

Welcome to BN.  This is a great community to meet lots of people who have been successful with internet marketing and driving prospects to their primary business, whatever that happens to be.

Let me tell you my story and my present situation:

I have joined multiple MLMs off an on ever since the early 90s.  And over and over again I failed.

Just recently I thought I had come on something totally different and put $22,000 dollars into one program thinking that this was the cats meow and I was finally going to be a winner.

Well, was I ever wrong.  Just like all the other times... only now I have $22,000 hanging out there instead of a couple hundred bucks.  Ouch!

I have been in desperation mode for a number of weeks now and found some awesome people that had exactly what I needed, education.  They taught me it wasn't my fault and that many of these home businesses are stacked with the odds against you.

Not only can I introduce you to these folks, but if you have money hanging in some other business that's not performing the way they said it would, I can share something I learned just today that may help you get that back.

Your Friend, Randy

Hi Randy

That is quite a story sir..You see for me I have a limited budget and I have a great website in place. Just need good quality traffic to get to it. What did you learn today that you wanted to share with me?

Hello Ian, I have no idea

Hello Ian, I have no idea how long you have been in your business, but the BIGGEST mistakes are made by advertising in the wrong market. For example; I would not be advertisng my Nissan rims in the Ford Classifieds. We have all made the same mistake, and to this day, some or all of us still do.

People are FISHING in every pond using the SAME BAIT! My friend, you will be out there for a long time before you get a bite!  Stop, Re-think and Adjust Fire before you go broke and end up joining another business just to get the SAME results.

What business are you in? If for example your involved in the travel business, it would be easier for someone in the travel business to get in touch with you instead of someone who sells candles.

Everything you learn here can be useful, but if someone who is already involved in the same opportunity as you are took you under their wing, and helped you until you were ready to fly, you would learn alot faster and save alot of money.

Also, you mentioned you were on a limited budget. Ian, now you have to ask yourself, Is the opportunity you got involved with be able to produce the income you need to continue your business before buyers remorse kicks in?

MLM/Network Marketing unfortunately is not for everyone. There are UNPROFESSIONALS out there who prey on easy meat. (Road Kill), to make a living. Find someone who is involved in your business and have them share with you their ideas which has allowed them to be successful.

Good Luck!!

Limited budget, need leads

Ian, I have found some free sites to adverste, that you might consider:

Backpage.com

Craigslist.com

This might get you started.  If you have a small budget, you can write articles and post them on multiple sites for generate traffic.

If you want to spend money on training there are many out there.  Let me know if you want to know the one that helped me the most.

Hope this helps.

A Few Ideas

I advertise on free classified sites like Jobvertise.com and INetGiant.com. On INetGiant you can track your views to your ads.  Craigslist will not allow repeated ads, I first tried 10 ads a day to differents cities, was blocked.  Then I reduced ad submissions down to 2 ads a day to different sites, was also blocked.

Also you can receive 60 free ads a day on SimplerLeads.com.

Hopes this helps.
