It's an amazing thought isn't it?

Though many of us may think we've reached the PEAK of our financial lives, never forget your dreams. Remember you had them once, learn to bring them back to the "big picture". It's still there, it's just waiting on YOU!

It's never too late to go back to school so you can become that "educated person" you've always wanted to be!

It's never too late to start that big family you've always wanted.

It's never too late to.... begin helping others become something special.

Yea, it's never too late for that.

...Never Too Late...

Thanks man, a little boost every now and again really makes you feel good.  My boss at work has never figured out just how far a "good job" will go.

Thanks, really

Absolutely!!!

Thanks for the reminder to all of us that "it's never too late"!  I strive to be a constant student of life, business, personal finances, etc.  It's a shame that the overwhelming majority of us don't pick up another book to read after graduating from High School!  As one of my mentors, Jeff Olson, says, "It's so easy to beat the masses..."  Sad, but true!

Wish your message could reach those who REALLY need to hear it!

I'm 40 something, ok late 40 something :)

I didn't grow up in computer age and it wasn't that long ago all I knew how to do was to attach a real estate contract to an email.  Now I'm a full fledged internet marketer.  Seems when my phone rings and I can tell it's an older person, I just right to the question, "how do you feel about learning an entirely new skillset which includes being on the computer, thinking in a way you never have before and what hang ups do you have about starting over at whatever age you are?

9 times of out 10, unless they want to just run classified ads in the newspaper, or talk to family and friends or do direct mailings, they are afraid of the internet, think it will take too long, they say they are too slow and don't even get themselves a chance.  It's generally a short conversation.

Amen to it's never too late.  My dad is 70 and just starting his internet business.  If he can it, anyone can.

Never too late

My mother is over 70 and I am showing her how to put her antique business online. She has been using the computer for years but more so to look up sales and check emails. She is very excited to learn a new way to do business.

Why not let them?

Debbie,

If that is what older folks are comfortable with why not let them use traditional off-line advertising methods? It's worked in the past and will continue to work into the future. Hey, if you don't want to work with them so they are comfortable let me know, I'd be happy to.

Great comments

Hi Everyone,

Debbie, I am 47 and remember alot regarding the total lack of tech when we were growing up til today when our kids are born with a cell phone in one ear and an ipod in the other. LOL

This is a really great topic! It's funny because I just posted an article called

NEW TECHNOLOGY IN AN AGING SOCIETY

I swear I had not even read this thread before I wrote, as I was up until well into the early morning hours 4:30 am.  It is a history lesson in the area of the micro processors and cell phones and the internet. How far we have come since the advent of the modern day computer.

Please check it out and let me know what you think as it is my first attemp at an article.

New Technology

Hi Debbie

I like your comments on technology as a senior citizen I have submersed myself in learning all that I can and on several occasions have fell on my face with trying new tecnology and crashed one lap top(lol) but in this day and time it is a must to learn. I know it can be mind boggling with all the marketing terms like the latest one "twitter" how they come up with those names makes a person ask what happen with just "plain old english" .

Never too old

I, at 69 am learning new techniques to figure out internet marketing. I basically learned how to cut and paste only a few months ago. So if I at my age can retrain myself, there is no limit to what anyone can achieve

Never too Late

Now 59, I started learning the Internet business 5 months ago.  To my surprise there were domains, urls, hosting, graphics, thousands of logins, social networking sites and business networking sites and a site that will do all your logins for you.  My husband thinks I'm a guru but I'm truly a novice and enjoying every minute of learning.

My grandchildren had a big surprise when I finally signed up for MySpace and sent them emails on their pages.  They have certainly made some big changes to their pages after BamMa saw them.

Never Too Late

I have been on the computer for years, but I used it for writing letters, surfing the net for information for school. When myspace came out I only heard the teenagers talking about so I brushed it off even when I started to hear some adults say they had joined. Then a couple of years ago I checked it out mostly out of curiosity liked what I saw and joined. My daughter was so shocked she laughed for days. She said, "you finally catching up"

My Space At Any Age

Your comment about grand children and My Space tickled me, I'm 52 and my four (young for having a father my age) thought that it was the funniest thing that they had ever seen when I signed up about a year ago. I actually signed up for the music and pretty much told everone as much. I couldn't get music like that without going broke if I could find it all. Loved the comment.
