Are you riding in the Fast Lane?
Group: Millionaires In MotionOften times we are too focused on getting where we want to go really quickly. It's not a crime, its just a habit of our society now a days. As I was driving the other day I was getting a little frustrated at what was happening. I was in the left lane (the fast lane) and so were about 80% of the people on the particular road I was driving on. Now the traditional slow lane was pretty empty and moving faster. As I continued to drive in the fast lane, I thought to myself. Everyone wants to get wherever they are going fast, so everyone choses to drive on the fast lane. However you could probably get to where you are going quicker in the slow lane. It is just the mentality that we have now a days. That the left lane is the quickest so we should take it, even though sometimes it winds up being slower.

Now where this relates to network marketing is this. Often times we look to do things as quick as possible in our business that we often wind up doing what others are doing and that ultimately leads to a grinding halt for your business. The main thing that you can do in your business is to be unique. There are so many systems and companies out there that so many people are doing, that they ultimately lose their effectiveness. This is often times called over-saturation.
However that is not the only reason that it is not always good to be in the fast lane. When we look to take the fastest route to online success, we often do things hasty and not well enough. Now even though many do not think this way, this type of business is not meant to be built as quickly as possible. Ideally you build a great organization quickly and have a great team with you, but it is best to take your time to market correctly and attract the right type of people to your business. Most people go out and spam everyone with their business opportunity, and it does work for many. However, they mostly get people who are not the ideal candidates to be in business with.
Why would you want to have a team full of people you had to convince, trick, or pressure to get in business with you? That kind of relationship is not the kind that you would want to have with your friends or family, so why would you want that to be the kind you have with your team.
Although it may take longer to attract people to you and have people build a genuine interest in you and your business, it is definitely worth it in the end. The reason is that these people will be the best type of people to work with. You will find yourself wanting to work with these people, genuinely caring for their well bein and success. As is said a lot in this business, whenever you care more about others people's success, the more that will be given to you.
I hope that this article may have shed some light on taking time to market yourself and your business in the right manner. Quicker is not always better. Remember, when you want to achieve something quick, you will most likely achieve failure.

Build slowly and it will last a lifetime !
Hi Alex,
Well said !
It is obvious to this writer ! That what you are saying is so true !
Having been involved in network marketing for many years ..
(involved in many an interesting product/service ) and Moderatly successful !
I was more mainstream,
Marketing to ie., family ,friends door to door etc.,Old school way!(anything with a pulse) I am sure that you have been there done that !
I really believe that there is now a huge shift away (from this type of mindset/activity call it what you will) in the way we are to market if we are to be successful..
I believe that this old way was the only way we new how to to do it !As Taught by our Million dollar earners(remember write your hot list and ring them as soon as possible!) Talk to anything with a pulse if it did not appear to have one then give it a kick to see if it moved or was dead.If it was dead move on !Pass out cassettes(which you bought off your sponsor who bought them off Million Dollar man)
WOW ! Yup we did this!
Now we sit and wonder why(all our previous contacts when we call them) they say things like !What are you pushing this time dont you ever give up.
Before you can open with a good pitch they have closed their minds.
As we never truely had an upline that really cared about what we were after or what our goals were they were more focused on getting in as many as they could,we were just a meal ticket to them and I Suppose that is why we did the same thing.
I strongly beieve in Relationship marketing but we must at all times be honest in our dealings.
Yes and we are all trying to pitch our deals one way or the other even on these group/forum discussions it is a low key way of saying hey if you like what you are reading here come over and look at my site....Or am I just a tad off base???
After all we have a very good place to advertise our opportunities.Dont we!
I am always or nearly always haveing a look(Our business opportunity section) to see if there is something that may be able to help me with the growth of My offline Business.
Anyway have a great 2009

I a now a true believer....
in the saying "Slow and steady wins the race". I'm a newbie to this online marketing arena so naturally I'm being very cautious about how I proceed on this road to success. I'm working on me and my marketing business at the same time. Im eager to learn the best strategies to utilize in my business but I'm also eager to enhance myself so that I can be able to build solid relationships with the people I encounter that are genuinely interested in my business. Thanks for the wisdom you have shared in your posts. Good luck and glad to be a fellow networker.
