How many income streams should you aim for?
Group: Multiple Streams of InterNet IncomeI know it's important not to put all your eggs in one basket so to speak, and I believe that it's good to have several income streams that compliment each other if possible so that it's easier to keep your advertising and promoting in hand.
I don't think that there's a specific number in answer to my query there, it depends on how much time you have to devote to promoting your business, how enthusiastic you are about each of the opportunities that you choose and how well you are able to target and attract prospects to each of them.
Then of course you have to consider how much time you can devote to building a relationship with each of those prospects once you have attracted them, I believe that this is why most of the successful people choose to work with a couple of opportunities at any given time.
Focus is the hardest thing to master and the easiest thing to lose. (For me at least lol :) )

The More The Merrier
Focus is important, but if you can manage it all, go for as many income streams (assets) if you can. If you have a blog, you have a gateway to several.

Especially...
If you can create income in several different markets, for example, MLM, Real Estate, Investing, etc. Using today's technology enables you to do more with the thing you have less of, but value the most, namely TIME.

Diversify But....
One should diversify income streams but with a central focus. That way you are not going into a million different directions. Construct a mind map. If you don't know how to, there are several good software products.

Thanks for the replies
Thanks for the replies guys,
I read somewhere a long time ago that 5 is the optimum amount of income streams to build which I think maybe fits in well with everything you guys said. If you can use several strands that weave together in terms of complimenting and supporting each other it helps to plan and execute your advertising strategy I know.
Initially I went for several quite different streams and was a bit all over the place like most people new to IM. Then it finally clicked that there is a way to bring those streams together so that you are in effect building a web of programs that each generate small amounts of income in the beginning and then grow together.
For example I use various free advertising programs anyway to get my biz opps out and they can be a good way to build a little (or a nice) additional income when your downlines upgrade. Recommending advertising to new downline members is a good way to get them to communicate with you especially if there is a free option for them to try out so they don't simply think you are trying to sell them something. It's just one of the ways I chose to focus on. I would be interested to hear from other people what their preferences are?
Warm Regards
