Post deleted at authors request.
Group: Networking Down UnderJust kidding.
I thought I would hide this little nugget away for those who dig a little deeper.
If you see "Post deleted at authors request" in the forums, do you click on it to see what it is all about?
I notice that these posts get the "hot" topic flames which suggests that there are others out there like me who just have to know why someone would want their posts deleted.
So what you say?
So do you think that kind of headline will get people to open your emails, or get your topic noticed on a forum, or your PPC ad clicked on?
You bet it will. We all love a bit of gossip, a little intrigue.
I used to use a similar ad when I was advertising on a program that displayed button ads. Guess which two words were the most successful on my buttons.....

People couldn't help but click the button to see what they were unable to access. Of course converting them is another matter. But at least I had traffic.

These words are very powerful.
A great example is a company that made millions of dollars back in the 70's....Members Only clothing!
Thanks for testing Dean
So as long as I use it wisely, it's ok for me to swipe it then?
Headlines are all important, whether it be in an email, an article, or a website..
Thanks for sharing.

Please Susan, help yourself lol
I never heard of Members Only clothing (maybe I missed the 70's - or maybe they didn't make it down under).
But it doesn't surprise me that they did well. Thanks for the illustration.
