Read More: I think a big problem with network marketers now a days is that they want everything Now, Now, Now. Although it is nice and ideal to get things that we want fast, you can not expect to amass a huge downline or massive wealth in a short period of time. That is one thing that I always try to stress to my team members and everyone I talk to about network marketing.
I like to think of network marketing as a staircase. You need to take it one step at a time. You can not make one huge step and make it to the top. It would be impossible. Well your probably saying, Alex you can always take the elevator. Although that is true, there are some that will get assisted on their way to the top and make it much quicker, most will take the stairs.
I think one of the main reasons as to why people expect to make it BIG in network marketing in such a short time period is the whole presentation of most network marketing companies. It's all hype and excitement, and look at these amazing numbers. Look at how great you can live with just recruiting 3 people and so on. Not to mention the hype from the presenter. Most of them being big shots in the company making a lot already, that they make it seem so easy. Now the reason why its so easy is because they are already big and wealthy. Most of them did not make their wealth with the company they are currently in. They most likely jumped from one company to their present one. So naturally, it was easy for them to duplicate the success in their new company.
I know I am rambling on, but getting back to the point on time. This day in age, we are always looking to save time, not waste time, make it in time. Everything is measured on time and money. The faster we can make our money the better. The only problem with focusing on time is that it drives you nuts. You are always looking to do something in a certain time, that you do not focus on what you need to do. Most people tend to look at the big picture in terms of having to do everything at once, when it is simply not so. If you can learn to focus on different tasks at a time and accomplish things step by step, you will find yourself achieving more than you thought possible.
Incremental success is all about achieving your goals, but not all at once. It is all about taking things slowly, because if you can be patient to do things slowly and correctly, you will find yourself successful. In order to achieve your goals it must be done incrementally. Otherwise it is impossible. You can not build a house of cards without the first card just like you can not make a million dollars without making the first dollar. So please do not get hung up on time. Success comes incrementally.
