Create instant credibility in the eyes of your prospects

So when people ask you what you do, what do you say? "I am a distributor?" "A marketer?" "An engineer (oops...)?" How about "I wrote a book called 'The Top 7 Secrets You Must Know Right Now To Live Your Dream Life'?" or something more creative.

So what am I talking about? Well, I'm talking about writing a simle eBook or report that will help you gain instant credibility. It's really nothing "new" to most of us, but I think it'll be safe to say that 99% of us never even TRIED it. You see, when you are an author, people tend to automatically put you at an elevated position. It'll give you tremendous leverage to attract more prospects.

Check out Jim Yaghi's profile. In it he said he's "the author of '8 Days to Cashflow in MLM'." I think those are video series, but you get the drift.

One of the things I did was I created an eight-page report (yes, only 8 pages in 14-pt fonts... that's it) for my retail business and got some very good leads for my retail business for almost TWO YEARS. No kidding. And I want to emphasize that the steps are really simple that all of us can do it.

Fernando Ceballos wrote in one of his articles that what's stopping people "usually is something trivial like technology... which is a real shame."

So... to demystify eBook creation, I compiled a 14-page step-by-step instructional guide (complete with color screen captures) on how to make create an eBook/report with clickable links, bookmark/table of content, the works, all done with FREE and easily accessible resources.

Download the eBook creation guide called Create Instant Credibility .

I must warn you though... this is designed for beginners so the concepts are very basic and very simple. If you're a guru, don't flame me ;) Also, I did it in a few hours time so I can get it up quickly for my BN friends. If you find typos and misspelling let me know. Have fun and create instant credibility for yourself.

Jerry, I believe you're absolutely right.

Hey Jerry,

You're right when you say e-books are nothing new to the industry, and yes, in theory, easy to write.

But I believe they do add to your reputation, and it is a big plus on your "resume".

Thanks for the post.

Just signed up

Hi Jerry,

I just signed up for your ebook creation guide.  I have been toying with the idea but did not think I had enough info on anything to write an ebook.  I will let you know after I read the book if it makes me write my first one.  Thanks for the free info.  I need the basics.

Blessings,

Basics

Hi Better Networkers,

This ebook really contains the bare minimum to creating ebooks and keeping them secure (so you can protect your work).  I  covered just ONE way of doing it to keep it basic and easy to follow.  Although it's just 14 pages it should have enough to set anyone up to establish stronger credibility for themselves, if they take action.  Getting going is the toughest part, so the book is kept really short to make the process of getting going very easy for you.

Please share your ebooks with the community. Long or short, pretty or ugly. Getting something started and imporve on it.

Dream Enormous,

Jerry

Newbie's Guide

I just finished signing up for your ebook. I think that I will find it very interesting being a Newbie and just getting started with this whole posting thing and wanting to do more. Thank you for thinking of us.

I never thought of writing an ebook...

to have such a great answer to the question--"what do you do?"

Not that I haven't thought of writing a few ebooks mind you.  (In fact--I've spent hours and hours working on a couple of them)--just not to create instant credibility!!

I did download the ebook.  Thanks!  And I think that I did already know most of it.  But I still really appreciate how step-by-step it is.  (which I don't really find all that often!)

take care,
Christine

Sharing ebook

Hi Jerry,
You suggested sharing our new ebooks with the community. As you know I used your ebook to put mine in a pdf format. I'm happy to share that. I'm wondering what's the appropriate way to share it with the community?

Thanks
Darag

Re: Sharing ebook

Hey guys

The "sharing" part is just for the people that are interested in working on eBooks to help each other take action and maybe critique each other's work.  I just started a group for that

Jerry,

Thank you so much for the e-book. I'll see if I'll be able to duplicate it and actually be able to give it away.

Copyrighted Materials

Dear BN Friends,

My two cents…

Forgive me if I sound like cyber “cop.” I’m not. As a composer & songwriter & fellow BN, I'm aware of the dangers & pitfalls many honest people fall into concerning copyright laws & materials. Copyright laws are complex and often confusing. Fortunately, copyright laws exist for a reason, even in cyber world.

“Copyright is a form of protection provided by the laws of the United States (title 17, U. S. Code) to the authors of “original works of authorship,” including literary, dramatic, musical, artistic, and certain other intellectual works. This protection is available to both published and unpublished works.” (From: http://www.copyright.gov/circs/circ1.html#wci; accessed:11-07-08; check Section 106 of the 1976 Copyright Act for more details).

 I’m discouraged…

I have discovered e-books, even though they’re offered for FREE, break serious copyright laws. Case in point:  It’s fair to provide an e-book containing info about magnetic “networking.” However, if you provide info that’s almost “verbatim” from authors such as Mike Dillard, and you call it your own WITH OUT giving credit to him, that’s copyright infringement. It’s bad news for you if he ever wanted to sue you (I doubt he would though).

 Sharing knowledge…

Yes, this is beneficial for the BN community. Success is often built on the success & knowledge of others. We all want to learn vital information, especially from the mentors, that will benefit our online businesses, lives, etc. Nonetheless, we need to provide e-books that are original in nature.

 Please respect…

Countless mentors work very hard to provide the BN community with excellent resources. If you use their expertise in your e-book, respect their diligence by giving them credit in your e-books. Networking is a people business. Respect, integrity, & honor should be HIGH on your character list as a business owner & e-book author. Reach for the stars!!

*Be creative yourself *Tell your own story*Offer your own wisdom*Give credit where it's due*

Thanks for your creativity in writing & I’ll see you rise to the top!!

Integrity Rules!

Bryan,
Thanks for your article.

First, in this new paradigm shift of marketing, integrity is a key quality of anyone playing this game. If the players lack honesty it will fall apart like everything else has on the internet and the scum will seep in.

How can someone claim to have integrity if they are stealing? It would be great if we could maintain standards of truth in this network and you calling a spade a spade is fine and just in my book.

Second, I and a very good buddy who has been a top sales manager, coach and trainer in the call center industry are presently compiling his version of how to make one successful, when you finally get to talk to a prospect.

While I have seen similar concepts in the training material in the forum to what he has taught me to become successful, he has unique tips that I have yet to see

Copywriting his material is necessary so thanks for the links.
