Being an Alaskan resident and a mother of a special needs child/teen, I know first hand what a wonderful/leader and example Sarah Palin is...She has inspired me to really take harness of my future and my goal of giving back to as many people as I can. Only three days before she annouced her running for vp I had the awesome opportunity to have a chat with her and my pic. taken with her.

On the election day of her running for governor here in AK, she took the time out of her schedual and went to her son's  hockey game! I thought if she runs Alaska like she parents ,we have it made! True to her word, she has delivered and never once has she taken the stage and put herself first. It has always been about the Alaskan people and now the people of the United States.

It is my great honor I will hold that torch with her.

Her inagraul speech she said, quote "I ran for governor not thinking of myself better than anyone, but offering opportunity for the mantle of leadership to be passed. It is time. That torch is fanned with new energy but was ignited long before by pioneers with a responsible, confident vision that I share. Its radiance won't  let us loose sight of true north."

I would love to hear what others have to say about Sarah or this quote.

Pointing True North,

Misty VanderWeele

P.S. Check out my pic with Sarah on my profile.

P.P.S (Fact: Pit Bull dogs nature isn't to fight, they are the most loyal, wanting to please dogs there is. That is why they will fight, with or without lipstick!...

Don't believe me google it : )...

Religion and Politics....

Two subjects I avoid discussing here on BNW with a passion! But if you ask me how can I build a thriving home based business, I can help you with that one Misty! Thanks for taking your time to write, and God Bless!

The Red Lipstick Club isn't about Religion or Politics

Paul, thanks for the commemt...All my post was in reference to SP being a very great example for women across America, No matter her status. And how she with example has touched my life.

God Bless to you too,

Misty

The Red Lipstick Club isn't about Religion or Politics

Misty,

Thanks for posting.  I was under the impression from a post in the main BN area or via an email to me a few weeks ago that many BN members not only post their affiliate link in their signature line, but also many list their candidate preference.  I haven't been on BN long enough to see any of those political signatures, but when I saw that someone had created the Red Lipstick Club, I thought it was a place where ANY kind of comment could be made.  I also assumed it would tend to be pro-Sarah Palin rather than against her.

Either way, by it's name and creation, it's going to be political---- unless we women (and any lipstick wearing men) want to discuss different brands and colors of red lipstick.  lol!

So, if  it is assumed to be political/debate-prone (by its name and this time period in American life), (and/or supportive), and a person doesn't agree or doesn't want to "talk politics and religion", then maybe this isn't the forum for them to peruse!

Misty--I'm so thrilled you got to meet Sarah!  Waytago!  And bravas for surging forward to combine your career and family goals.   My prayers go out to you and your child, but also my praise, for striving and achieving with dignity.

I can't WAIT for the debate Thursday night!  It's going to be fun!

Susi-- no website yet, but learning.

I stand corrected : )

I guess just the mention of SP is political especailly since she is running for VP of the united states.

Thanks Susi...we want a Better Netwoker being a place of positive were all can benefit from the atmosphere and groups we join.

Yes, the debate will be interesting.

I love politics! ;-)

Okay...I have to throw in my 2 cents here too... My husband said to me the other day, "Why don't you write a blog about SP and what a great role model she is for American women? Now, she is a true entrepreneur!" But you were a step ahead of me there, Misty... ;-) Anyway, I will be sure to check out your pic with Sarah, and I too look forward to this week's debate!!!  Cheers. ---Lena
