A Must Read for All

Hello all,

I don't have a product, per se, to offer, but read a "can't put it down" book over this past weekend.

Anti Cancer:  A New Way of Life is written by a neuropsychologist, David Servan-Schreiber,MD.  He and 2 other researchers were studying brain scans, and one night a volunteer doesn't show up for the MRI, so David gets in the machine. . . and a tumor is discovered.  Brain tumors are never good, but his was an especially difficult tumor to treat, and the average life span in this case is about 3 yrs.  He's now 15 yrs past his diagnosis, and tells about what he's learned along the way.

"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure", and this book is really about who gets cancer and why, and really, it's not that hard to follow Dr. Schreiber's advice for  preventing this dreaded illness.  And yes, it can be prevented.  Or, if you or someone you know is ill with a cancer, please have a look at this book, if you haven't already.

The corollary to this book which Dr. Schreiber talks about is Foods to Fight Cancer, by Richard Beliveau,PhD and Denis Gingras,PhD.

Both are easy books to read; the 'Foods' book actually lends itself to a thorough skimming.

I guess I do have products to recommend:  ditch the sugar!! and try stevia or agava.  trade in the finely ground white flour for  multi-grain products.

Be Well All!

Thank you Ellen

I cannot wait until our medical profession comes up to speed with prevention rather than treatments for all illnesses.

Thank you for this info.
