Daily Networking Not Selling
Everyday of your life if you are around people and you are talking to them. How many people do you know? How many of them are networkers? They all are. You may not have thought about it that way but that is very true. Every time you are talking to people you are networking and if you are doing it correctly you are learning more about the people you are talking to. Sure you may not want to know everything about someone but by learning who they are and what kind of interests they have. If you can remember these things you just might have a way to bring them into your network. This people are not necessarily going to be some one you want in your business but they might know someone who you would.
You never know where your best lead may come from so you should be talking to people everyday. The next person that you talk to might just be the right one or they might put you in contact with the right one.
The one thing to always remember when talking to people is to never try to sell them on what you are doing. Most people hate that and will be very turned off. When you find someone who sounds like they are interested you first need to find out who they are. When you are both comfortable with each other you might ask if they might be interested in making some extra money or what I like to say is"Have you ever thought about diversifying your income? If they look at you funny or ask what that means? You could have the perfect in for a little explanation about network marketing. Remember you are not selling you oppotunity, just finding out if they might be interseted. If they say yes, now what you want to do is find out why they would be interested. What is there situation and what motivates them. Listen to what they say. If you have had the same thing that motivated you then maybe relate a little of it.
You want to lead the conversation as much as possible by asking question. Then listen to what they have to say and let them do most of the talking. They will not realize that you controlling what is being said so much because they are doing most of the talking. You are listening to what they are saying and people love to be heard. Be sincere, if you are not they will read it and will want to get away from you.
If someone asks me what I do, the thing that I like to say is, I help people diversify there income by teaching them how to make money on the internet. There are all sorts of question that will come up from that statement. Most of the time I say something like I have a company that I work with that I will offer to people and help them get started. Most of the thime I can ask, if this is something that they would be interested in? Many people do not believe this can be. Many of them will want to know more. If they want to know more, you lead in slowly. I ask them why they would be interested. Ask them about how much time they would be able to spend building a business. I also mention that most people do this between 8 and 10 hours a week when they first start. I ask how much money do they think they could afford to spend to build a business.
I ask questions until I am sure that I have something for them before I even mention the name of the company or what kind of produt I have. I want to know if they will be a good fit. I do not offer my company to everyone because, many of the will not stick around. I do not want to waste my time or their money by getting them in when they did not belong there.
