Small Tips for the Pro

I was thinking about some helpful tips that can aid people in their MLM. These are mostly reserved for offline (Which I believe is still a very powerful area to explore and produce from in your MLM, underneath the right time-efficient prospecting).

Cards

Have some cards on you about your business at all times. Whether it be of your opportunity, or a sizzle card of sorts. I prefer cards of my opportunity when it comes with face to face marketing. It looks sleeker, more professional, and that you are treating them on an open-doors level.

These are great advertisements of your name. Hand them out everywhere you go, to business or non-business contacts. I have had people start talking to me about my opportunity just because of my shiny green card and the interesting name that it coincides with.

Applications for Customers and Business Builders

Wherever you go, always have these documents with you. If you have no briefcase to keep them in as you walk, make sure they are near you, such as your car. This will improve sign-ups, no reason to let your prospect wait and have his or her energy die down  if you happen to have it with you already!

A good rule of thumb is to fill out all of your applications as much as you can. The city, state and so on. City may be questionable depending on where you live. I happen to live in Alaska so running into someone from a different town is really random (Running into someone from another Alaskan city is impossible as well, considering there really is only one haha).

Appearnce

Your appearance needs to be professional. Being professional and looking professional have to be in congruence to truly come off as so. Preparation and the visual aid are the greatest crusdaers to your cause.

Remember, there are more options to looking professional than just suits and ties. Good hygiene, cleanliness, and overall upkept body will shout volumes to your prospects' eyes.

Firm Friendliness

You want to be friendly in all your interactions of course. Staying away from hype will be your number one directive in staying professional. Enthusiasm coupled with passion and logics will take you much farther towards your success than the hype and money signs.

You need to stay firm in your actions as well. Some people will really be just a waste of your time. As weird as that may sound to many people out there struggling right now, you want to dedicate your time right now to serious business builders and loyal customers.

Be careful though, because you may just get a distributor that takes a year to really begin to blossom. They may talk big, they may try to walk big, but constantly fail or something gets in their way. These people you want to keep dripping on, keeping in touch, and inspiring now and again to pursue their dreams.

Why do I say this?

Because before I started learning real skills, that person who talked big and tried to walk big and tripped several times, was in fact... myself.

All the best,

PS. Get an iPhone too. Shameless unpaid promotion for my love of all that is Apple. (Though in all my business encounters lately, all the entrepreneurs have iPhones. Maybe it will be one of those  subtle mindset paradigm-shifters... either way it has a great calendar tool!)
