Don't Be Shy - What are You up to in the UK?
Group: UK Networkers inc.Well here we are.... Members of the UK Group (and what a great idea, by the way, I wish I had thought of it!) .... so now what?
Am I going to have to contact each member individually to find out what their own main business interest is, or just casually happen by their profile to find out more? Is it because we are polite and used to queueing that we are all waiting for someone else to say what they are up to online?
I like the idea of a UK network group, and I would be very interested to know what the rest of the UK group does for a living. If you have a great business idea that might be useful to the rest of us in the UK, then why not share it with those who actually want to know about it? Any volunteers to get the discussion started?
If you are too shy to put your contribution in this group posting, then by all means contact me by direct personal message if you have some information that you think might be useful. I'm waiting to hear from you ...... Oh, and Thank you, by the way!
With my Best wishes
Teresa

Yep Teresa I think us Brits
Yep Teresa
I think us Brits are more used to standing waiting than pushin forward. However, I was always taught by my mother that "shy bairns get no broth", so I tend not to wait quite so patiently.
I think dropping by members profiles is probabl the best way to find out about each other's business interests. Putting them in a group posting can sometimes lead to a spam fest, though I'm not too sure with Brits? You know, I'm willing to bet we Brits probably don't spam as much as other countries - something to do with our upbringing and being polite, and waiting to be asked, and not being pushy, or maybe our 'stiff upper lips' are just not capable of shouting out when we find something really great? lol

No Good being pushy in the UK...
Hi Guys
Getting UK peeps to lower their guard, look at something new and break from the norm is... in the words of Jim Rohn describing something as 'not easy'... like "herding Cats!"
Best to be human, make contact, search for common ground and build a relationship.
And remember it's not all about getting someone to join your business. There's loads to learn from everyone in this group. So be sure to LISTEN.
For example, Grahame Brown recommended the book "The Answer" by John Assaraf & Murray Smith to me. This book should take pride of place in every human beings book shelf and I thoroughly recommend it to everyone who has not experienced it.
Again, just get talking to people. Learn something from them all.
Finally I've sent out over 40 invites to this group. I think it would be good if everyone share what we have and bring some people in they stumble across to help swell the numbers and give everyone a chance to meet and chat. So share the group and let's see what happens.
