Thanks for joining the group Nancy! (Nancy was my mother's name, btw).

I look forward to working with you. Now for the first question:

What kind of information would you like to see discussed on this group?

What things to discuss

I'm new to this web site, let alone new to the group. So I haven't had much opportunity (less than 24 hours since joining) to see what kinds of topics are aired. However, I'd like to read how we see and respond to things from a woman's perspective. Sometimes I'm acutely aware that I'm a woman's voice. Many times I'm not. It depends on the context I think.

Excellent sentiment Nancy...

What I'm hoping to create here is a forum where we can discuss how to overcome objections that are posed to us, strategies for dealing with people who don't believe women can be successful in business (yes, they are still out there), and the unique challenges that working mothers face (although I admit I don't have kids, but many of my coaching clients do).

What to say on an answering machine

What do you say when you get an answering machine?

A polite message...

I will usually say something like,

"Hi, my name is <insert your name>. I understand that you're looking for <business opportunity name, product name, etc>. Please call me back at <your phone number> because I have what you're looking for. If you don't get a chance to call, I'll call you back again in a few days. Thanks again.
