About Creating Content & Creating Articles

Hello everyone, I just finished watching a training video on content/article marketing in MLSP backoffice. It's mentioned there that you have to create a lot of articles/content and just post them on squidoo, hubpages, ezine articles, your blog, etc.. But they make it sound like you only have to create one piece of content and post that article everywhere. Is this something you can actually do?

I have created some content already, but if I'm linking from one article to another, I create a new article, I change some of the content, because I've heard it's not a good thing to post exactly the same articles in some content sharing sites.

I learned from other trainings that you have to change the content even if you are talking about the same subject. Like for example, you create an article about MLSP review, I understand that you can't just copy/paste the same article to your blog, squidoo, hubpages, etc. You have to change the content. Am I right, or is it actually ok to post the same article on different content sharing sites?
