Have Foxes got into your business or even your spiritual life?
Group: MLM Renovation (Worldventures)I was sitting a bible study last night and my friend read a story about a little girl, and her grandpa playing in the snow. The little nine old girl was very bright, and was observing the snow falling down on here Grandpa's face and over coat.
Well, she says "Grandpa I see bubbles and crumples" and he didn't understand. He ask "what do you mean?
Then she says "well when it falls on your face it bubbles up, but when it falls on your overcoat it crumples. He was amazed by her observation, and said “why yes it does, and they went in to the house.
Well He wakes up the next morning, and hears on the news that 8 inches of snow have come down, and they have closed down the streets and, told everyone to stay in the house.
Then all sudden it hit's him, He remembers how that snow falling down on the overcoat crumbled, and overnight those little crumbs have caused so much destruction over night.
So I got home and I was thinking well, I have so many friends in the business world, and seen people succeed and people fail. I have started to recount some of things that they did on both ends.
But for this I want to focus on why I think people fail. There is a scripture in the Bible that applies perfectly here.
Song of Solomon 2:15 Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.
But think about this, it's the little things, that start to ruin everything you work so hard for, and overtime it ruins the entire vine.. I equate this to just a little bit procrastination.
Not making the call,
Not reading that book,
Not learning that new skill,
Not talking to that person cause of fear,
Not doing the little things that it takes to build a discipline in your life.
Now I want you to also think about it in these terms too, just not business. When was the last time you just prayed to be in communion with God?
What are those little things that you continue to let get in the way of this spiritual journey of growing closer to Christ?
If you really thinking about it, those little things are seeping in your life and eventually the foxes will get in through a crack in the wall, and ruin everything.
Even in my own life I have learned this the hard way, and it takes time to get back to that place So spend that time with the Lord, and let him lead you and guide you. Continue to develop the discipline to do this daily so that you can keep the foxes out with God's grace.
I hope this blesses you, and please let me know what you think.
God Bless,
Joseph McDermott
