Are You Hoping or Husling- Do You Even Know The Difference
Group: Biz Builder ChampionsSomething Ray Higdon shared that really stuck. I posted this to my blog and thought you might like it.
Are you hoping or hustling, this is a question you should ask your self daily. I picked up the phrase from Ray Higdon, an authentic sponsor monster in the network marketing industry. He has been able to recruit serious leaders into his team. This has helped him to create the highest earnings in the Numis Network. Just like him, you don’t have to recruit the most, just recruit and develop the most leaders. He will surely tell you, that he didn’t do it hoping great people would join his team, he hustled and targeted the right kind of people. Then he trained them to recruit and sell just like him. That’s being a hustler. Everybody falls in the line between hoping and hustling somewhere, where are you today? With this little rant I say recognize it, make some decisions, take some action, and ask again tomorrow.
Hopers
Hopers
Hopers do just that, hope, and most of the time not much else. They hope people will see them as leader, long before they try to develop themselves into one. They wish they could learn to sponsor without ever buying a course that specifically teaches recruiting. They long for the day when they are successful, before ever really Deciding to be successful. Hopers tend to watch and applaud as others do the things they know they should do themselves. They wish the phone would ring, but have never aggressively advertised their number. They will often wonder why they never engage with people on their websites, but never learn to drive traffic. Hopers are good at not being able to figure things out, and yet ask so few questions. Most hopers do all of these things in some combination. Hoping to build a business without ever picking up some simple tools or shaking any hands.
Hustlers
Hustlers
Hustlers tend to look at things and behave a bit differently. A hustler will take the helm and make direction corrections as he goes. For a hustler an investment in himself is always a sound investment. A hustler will often achieve success before ever looking back to the day he decided to make it happen, saying things like “just a few short years ago”, or “it’s hard to believe but”. A hustler makes the phone calls himself, and the return call, and all the follow up calls, on time like he said he would. Hustlers don’t often say how can I possibly, they choose instead I could possibly, seeing the options rather than the obstacles. Most hustlers will never get caught sitting on their hands, they often have tools, a phone, books, or someone else’s hand in them. Hustlers do have to ask for forgiveness sometimes, but they don’t spend a lot of time waiting for permission. When it comes to getting through a challenge, most of time there talking to the people who already have.
Again, most network marketers fall somewhere on the the line between being a Hoper and a Hustler. And like I said at the start, honestly ask yourself and recognize where your at, make some some decisions, take some action, then do it again tomorrow. Be a Hustler.
Just a Rant,
P.S.
