Goal Setting Tools

Tami R. & Dawn like the idea of a template. I'm posting 2 documents some of you might find helpful.

#1. Goal Setting - this is a pdf from my 2009 workshop. There is a page with a number of categories for goal setting.

#2. Daily Method of Operation - This is a sample of a form I've used and edited many times. I left it in the .doc format (virus free) if anyone wants to capture the concept. I use this with a 31 day grid.

In a nutshell, reguardless of the system/format that works best for you, sharing/reporting the following with/to your partner will create results:

1. My goals from last week (as stated last week) were: You can set goals in any area you deem worthy of success. Remember, these are goals you plan to accomplish in a week's time. These are the little things that make the big difference in the direction toward your major goals.

2. I was successful in completing:

3. I have yet to complete:

4. As previously stated, I like rewards and I have earned:

and/or

5. As previously stated, consequences motivate me. My failure to complete X means:

6. My goals for next week are:

If you and your partner decide to share feedback or ideas, remember to establish this in your first visit. Also, it's a nice idea to ask permission before making suggestions on how your partner might 'change' something. They may be happy with their results and method of operation and not desire our comments.

This Post is open to all feedback. In fact, as I recall, this might be the "intro." So, I'm copy/pasting it before it disappears.

Helpful Documents: Goal Guide & Daily Method of Operation

I'm learning. Even though they give you all the room you can write in as you set up a post, they don't really want you to use it. Here is the content:

Good Tools

Thanks for sharing the tools. Keeping track of your daily efforts is an important part of self-evaluation. I had a mentor that once said, "If it's not inspected, it's neglected".

Have a GREAT day,
Warren

Top three things...

Looking forward to it!!!

With my mentor group here I use "Your Top Three Things" It basically breaks down into categories and the three "greatest positive impact" actions you need to take that week in those categories... Right now I'm working on marketing my husbands music career so my categories are fans, merchandise sales, live shows, internet presence, media exposure, business relationships, overall career and a list of personal stuff as well.

It's always a bit of a challenge to create the categories, but it's also fun to see how many hats we wear!

I fill them out every week and out of the list pick the top 3 important to work on. I'll try and find a link to the template if anyone is interested.

Tami thanks again for organizing this!
