Succes In Network Marketing

About Succes In Network Marketing

I have been in and out of Network Marketing since before the Internet became a big avenue for marketing. Nothing frustrates me more than people pushing and shoving their opportunities in anybody's face.

To succeed in network marketing, one needs to understand some fundamental things about people. I believe that you have to have and believe in the "Fisherman's" mentality and not the "Hunter's" mentality.  What do animals do when you hunt them? They rund and hide from you. On the other hand, what do animals do when you feed them? They come to you.

Network marketing is not and should be about sales business (hunter); it should be about relationship marketing (fisherman). Unfortunately, most network marketing companies fail to teach these basics in training, and their distributors are left struggling.

First, you must look within you and understand your patterns of thinking. What do you do when people impose their values on you?

Second, for prospecting success, you must be able to spot your prospect's pattern of thinking and find their soft spots (what are they like).

Third, you must be will to accept that your prospects' patterns of thinking may be completely different from yours. Your network marketing success depends upon understanding the four major personality types. You need to speak your prospect's language, not your own, and you can discover a prospect's personality type by listening and by asking the right questions. What turns you on may be turning your prospects off!

Psychologists have identified four basic personality colors.

"Blues"

  • They make up 15% of the population, and they are open and direct.
  • They talk a lot, they volunteer more information than necessary, they like to have fun, they see the big picture, and most importantly, they don't like details and numbers.
  • Finally, they have difficulty in focusing on one task, and you may think they have a little bit of ADHD. More "blues" join network marketing than any other personality type.
  • The motto of a Blue is, "Let's have fun!" The common occupations of a Blue are sales, entertainment, and public speaking. The Blue's voice is loud and fast...really fast! They are easily excited! Blue's dress stylish, colorful and flamboyant.
  • The strengths of the Blue are in the fact that they are promoters, convincing, enthusiastic, creative, and high in energy. Blue's run like freight trains and try to do 50 things at once.
  • The weakness of the Blue is that they talk a lot. They will talk over you and out-talk you.

If you are a "blue" you need to learn listen more and stop interrupting your prospect. If a blue joins your team, you have to coach them on the skills of listening in order to succeed in network marketing. Make sure you follow up closely with them, but you may send him or her short and sweet e-mails.

“Yellows”

  • They make up 35% of the population, and they are open and indirect.
  • They are soft spoken, they are the super nice people, and they are very sensitive.
  • They don't like pushy aggressive people.
  • Their motto is, "Let's be friends." They are usually teachers, nurses, counselors, daycare workers and the like. They are casual and comfortable dressers and Yellows have a soft and gentle voice.
  • The strengths of a Yellow are in the fact that they are dependable, team players, patient, supportive and nurturing.
  • Their weaknesses include over-sensitivity, followers, and they are not goal oriented. Yellows take things way too personal!

If your prospect is a "yellow" do not talk about money., and tell him or her how this business will allow him to be with his family and loved ones, and how your products are helping people with their health and wealth.

“Greens”

  • Greens make up 35% of the population and are indirect like the Yellow's but self-contained.
  • The motto of the Green's is "Let me have the facts and figures...all of them! "Green's are usually accountants, engineers, researchers and have a soft and polite voice.
  • Greens dress conservative and formal. Dislikes of the Green are pushy people, no facts, and being late.

The strengths of the Greens are that they are organized, planners, accurate, and persistent with great follow-through. Their weaknesses are in being over-analytical, hard to please, depressed (I wonder why), and lonely.

“Reds”

  • Red's make up 15% of the population and their motto is, "Get out of my way!"
  • Red's usually occupy the positions of CEO, attorney, airline pilot, name buildings after themselves and like to be called "The Donald!"
  • Red's are direct and self-contained.
  • The weaknesses of the Red's are: Ego, short tempered, domineering, impatient, and un-coachable. You just can't teach them anything!

The speech of the Red is forceful with volume...can you hear me! The strengths of the Red's are in the fact that they are focused, goal oriented and intense.

So, my goal for this group is for anyone joining to really add value, not push their products to the members unless it will help the group. Let the memebrs of this group find you (like the fishes and not run from you like the animals.

To your begining, continued and future successes.
