HERE ARE SOME THINGS TO PONDER:
Start with asking yourself the question: 'What do I want?'
Then as yourself this: 'How am I going to get there?' THE 3 SOURCES OF MOTIVATION
FEAR INCENTIVE PURPOSE 1) Make a list of goals you would like to accomplish in your life-time. Let your mind go. Write all the thoughts, big or small that come to you. This is not a time to be critical or concerned with ‘how’ you are going to achieve them. Think 1, 5, 10, 20, 30 years into the future. Personal:Professional: 2) Choose the one goal that you are most committed to moving toward NOW! 3) List all the benefits you will experience by achieving this goal. What makes this goal important to you? What is your deep purpose for achieving this goal? 4) How will achieving this goal make you feel? Explain in detail. (Exhilarating, fun, joyful, happy, free, peaceful, etc.) 5) What must happen in order for you to know and feel that you have successfully achieved this goal? 6) How will you feel if you do not achieve this goal? What will it cost you emotionally, financially, professionally, socially, spiritually, etc.? 7) Exercise: Boldly write your goal(s) down on a separate piece of paper and post it somewhere you can regularly see it. You may even chose to create a dream board by gathering images that reflect the end result you desire and pasting them on a poster board. This can also serve as a constant reminder. However, this can never take the place of the images you hold upper-most in your mind. The next step is to ‘purposefully’ take time each day to think about this goal, envisioning that you have already achieved it. More specifically, feel the feelings that go a along with having already achieved the goal. My Blessings,Judy
