*NERD ALERT..lol. I am a nerd and I position myself for learning in all environments. I first got into Network Marketing towards the end of my college days a few years back. I got into a company called 2by2.net. It was an internet company. Have you ever heard of it?...no..lol.. I know, I did not think you would have, I am not offended in the slightest :)

*Anyways, I got in with a friend of mine and the "leader" was telling us to call all of our family and friends in order to get them to come to our business opportunity meetings.

*I did not even know then, but I was using the infamous "3 Foot Rule", no wonder I failed like 95% of all current Network Marketers.

*In my experience, a person can be working and working and getting no results in their business. This is because until one has the Mindset of a Leader, their business will not be at its fullest potential.

 *After college I went into the Real Estate Industry as a Realtor and Loan Officer. It was pretty cool, I even closed two loans on the exact same day once. Eventually though, right before my eyes I found myself trying to prove myself to others and I was chasing them just like I did with my first business.

*Hmm, there seem to be a pattern of chasing instead of being chased.

*I again came back into Network Marketing and guess what the "leader" said?....Yep, if you said "Make a list of 100 people of your family and friends" then your were correct and it was not 1 month later that I was doing research on the net trying to figure out other ways of attracting prospects that did not involve me having to try to recruit anything alive within 3 feet..lol.wink:) I started connecting with people who seem to have no problems attracting leads instead of having to chase them, and I knew they were attracting people, or else why whould I be calling them- I was chasing them ..lol.

*I have been blessed to be able to develop a relationship with these Mentors of mine.

*One of the most important concepts I learned from them about Marketing helps me each and every day in my business. I learned the Definition of Marketing. Marketing is the Art and Science of Inspiring, Communicating and Developing a relationship with others based on Their Needs NOT yours". This is Key.

Also, I learned the power of being in a Mentorship and a Mastermind Group.

-Do you also understand how quickly you can change your mindset or develop it when you are are being personally mentored or are in a Mastermind type of training group?

It can happen rapidly. (p.s. for me I had to erase the idea that my great successes were all going to happen overnight.. you know the thought that a lot of people have that they are going to be an Overnight Millionaire --lol... you know the Get Rich Quick mentality that unfortuantely plagues a lot of the Internet.
*What do you need to work on? Is it your communication skills, your posture as a Leader, or your Web 2.0/Social Media skills?
I needed help with some of those too, and I am constantly improving everyday in all of those skills.
*I learned to Attract others by being of VALUE and not "selling them". If you focus on people first instead of focusing on when your going to make a sale off someone, then you are heading in the right direction.

*A Leader once told me good advice "Love people, use money" not "Love money, use people".

If you use "Attraction Marketing" correctly it gives you the "Attraction Factor" . It's the intangible quality that probably only about 10% of all Network Marketers have, which is why most Network Marketers as you know are failing. It's about "Being a Law Unto Yourself"

*In order to really succeed in a Business, a person must be seen as a Strong Leader who can take a group of people and put them in an environment where they can be molded as Alpha Leaders. You see, True Leaders will have success in anything they touch.

*People are looking for True Alpha Leaders not quote "Like-minded people, Business Minded People, #1 Business Opportunity, Groundfloor Opportunity, Best Pay Plan, Fully Automated, etc".... this are statements everyone says nowadays and while they are important they are not nearly as important as the decision one makes about who they join the business with.
