Interests
I love to sing and finally, after 9 years, touched a piano again. I love to write. My other interests include my grandchildren.
Activities:
I like giving homeowners tips on how to fight foreclosure and, perhaps, settle with the bank or negotiate a loan modification. I'm also active in my high school reunion planning committee. (I won't say which year it is...)
Favorite Quotes:
"If there is no struggle there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom and yet depreciate agitation…want crops without plowing up the ground, they want rain without thunder and lightening. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one, or it may be a physical one, and it may be both moral and physical, but it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress." Frederick Douglass, 1857.

About Me
I was born and raised in Detroit. I attended Henry Ford High School (yes, Ford has a high school, hospitals, museums, and a few car factories named after him). I got my Bachelor of Science from Detroit's Wayne State University and a law degree (Juris Doctorate) from the University of Florida. I practiced law in Florida until I decided to do something controversial. I won't bore you with all the details about my political activism because this is not a political forum. Suffice it to say, after the 2000 presidential election debacle, I left the state, but not without committing "career suicide" by challenging the election (and the Bush family). No good deed goes unpunished. I returned to Michigan, but after having seven car accidents around my court deadlines, I left America for my safety.
After a few years, I came back to America, using my legal skills to fight other valiant causes. How many of you know that good causes don't always pay good money? It became painfully clear to me that I needed to find a means of supporting myself in order to support any good cause. Moreover, I came back to Detroit, a city not known for its vast job opportunities. (I think Michigan leads America in unemployment.) Because I liked working for myself, and because working for myself may be my only real employment prospect, I found myself in network marketing.
I had been in network marketing before, off and on, ever since attending Wayne State. I had been in it and failed like the other 97-99%. As I got older, hopefully I've gotten wiser. I began to suspect that my uplines weren't making their massive incomes by sponsoring one by one. Friends and family can only get you so far. Eventually, when I ran out of the warm market, I tried cold calling leads. I made a video about all the rejection I've experienced. Watch it. I've been told that it's funny. It's called "Feel the Love All the Way to the Bank".
I'm now at the point that I'm using the Internet to sponsor downlines. I am in more than one company, diversifying my streams of income. I love social networking, particularly Twitter. I am branding myself. And I'm experiencing more success in my primary business because I changed my approach from chasing prospects to letting them chase me.
