About Me

I am a single mother of three amazing, handsome, awesome boys.  I am a survivor.  I am a dreamer.  I am a woman of great faith.  I am full of joy.  I am deep, quirky, creative, intelligent, and too funny for words!  I am also a woman on the move.   Poverty is not my name and it is not my address!  It is ime to find a differnt way to a better life ... it is time to try something new.  It is time to try a whole new road, because the old road is leading me nowhere fast - definitely not in the direction of my dreams.

Do you ever find yourself going through life this way?  A certain something negative happens, and then you find yourself vigilantly looking out for that same thing again, hoping NOT to repeat what you didn’t enjoy the first time around ... only to find that you end up right back where you didn’t want to be?  After repeating this cycle a few too many times, you start to believe the lies you inadvertently taught yourself … like … I guess this is just my lot in life; this always happens to me - I never win anything; I’ve tried that before and it didn’t work (ergo, I have come to the conclusion that it will never work for ME, though it may work for thousands of other people).

YET, there are other people who experience failures - oftentimes many of them - but somehow DON’T get stuck in a rut and DO achieve success eventually.  What is the difference?  I could be wrong, but I think the difference is internal motivation.  Are you motivated by fear - which inexorably seems to lead you back to the very thing you feared most?  Or are you motivated by VISION for what can, should, will be when you get there?  I guess it all kind of depends on where your eyes are focused.  What are you looking at?  That which you fear, or that which you hunger and thirst for?  Either way, it seems like we get what we feast our eyes upon.

I have started a new business venture, and I am totally excited, because it is about to go VIRAL!!!  Yeah, that’s right!  It has been in the pre-launch stage, and in a day or two it is LAUNCHING, and when it does, it is going to go viral in a BIG way.  Is there risk?  Of course!  Do I care?  Well, of course I do.  Am I focused on the risk?  Absolutely not.  I haven’t invested what I could not afford to lose, so I cannot be decimated in the event things don’t go as I hope they will.

No, the risk is NOT my focus.  My focus is on the long list of awesome possibilities!  I am imagining how great it is going to feel to pay off my car (and save THOUSANDS in interest payments!); I imagine how great it is going to be to pay off my school loans and be COMPLETELY DEBT FREE - WooHoo!!!  I imagine how great it is going to be to say “yes” to my sons a little more often.  I imagine how amazing it is going to be to buy a piece of property and build my dream, green, energy-efficient, super-fantabulous home!  I imagine how awesome it will be to help others achieve their possibilities, too!  On and on the list goes … onward and upward ... but never in a repetitive downward spiral of under-achievement motivated by fear.

I don’t know where you are at in your life, but I encourage you to lift up thine head and cast your eyes upon the vision of where you want to be.  Flesh out that vision - see it, taste it, smell it - and then take one step, and another, and another until you find yourself smack dab in the middle of it!  You can do it!  If I can do it, you can do it.  And if you do not already have a strategy for how you are going to make your dreams a reality, you might want to check out what I am dong!  There is plenty of opportunity to go around!

Be blessed!
