About Me
I have a degree in Business Administration. I've been married for 21 years and I have two children. I have one son, Brandon, who is 14 and one daughter, Amanda, who is 21. My son is an actor and model. My daughter, Amanda, is away at college, majoring in Media.
Years ago, I was Talent Agent, then I agreed to work in my father's Interior Design business. At the time, it was more about money then true excitement for the design industry. I've always had a passion for anything which was expensive! So I enjoyed surrounding myself with beautiful items. I worked my way to Vice-President of Sales and Management.
I was the owners son and I had to do more, perform better, and I was accountable to everyone. I did it all. Interior Design, Media, advertising, coaching, sales training, buying, and image building. I was the problem solver. If a situation was out of control, I was sent in to take care of it.
I always wanted more from what I was doing. I loved helping people become successful. I loved coaching, training, marketing and anything I could do to develop new ways for people to accomplish their dreams. I loved the sales process in a low key kind of a way. I sincerely cared about results for other people. If they looked good, performed great, that was enough for me. It's always been about serving other people and I think people appreciate that. I see myself as a producer, one who markets and develops talent.
During this time in my life, I was exposed to the Network Marketing Industry. The word LEVERAGE was a sweet word in my vocabulary! Success minded people, gathered together for the same purpose, made me come alive. I loved reading everything about success, being around people who loved the same things. An army of gladiators destined to succeed in the process. I knew this was the motivation I needed and valued. A dream come true with a promise of fortune and personal achievement for all. I loved that kind of mix!
I was fortunate enough to work with one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the network marketing history. His name was Jerry Rubin. Google him and hold on for the wild ride. He was famous for being a political activist. The Network Marketing industry knew him as a real "Guru". A master at communication. Jerry was frequently interviewed on Television, in Upline Magazine, in Newspapers, and he had the top distributorship in the country.
He was a multi millionaire, many times over. He literally parted the Red Sea when he walked into an event of thousands. When Jerry left an event, the event was over. He also wrote several books on networking. He was the man who took no direction from anyone, he was the direction.
I was a"paid employee" for Jerry Rubin, in addition to being in his downline. My lessons were incredible. I feel I was schooled by the best. I was very honored that Jerry chose me to work along side of him. I worked out of his Penthouse in the Los Angeles area and I managed his advertising campaigns in Success Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, USA Today and the Los Angeles Times.
Jerry was his own slot machine. No problem about lead generation here. His pipeline was full. I was privileged to meet with CEO'S, Presidents of major corporations, celebrities, author's, and many of the top money earners in the country. It was fast ride, full of excitement!
Jerry was a master recruiter and I saw him in action daily. He was a wild man. I brought Jerry a sense of stability. I was good at the details in the training and development aspects of his business. My patience could not be broken. Even though Jerry came close on many occasions.
Unfortunately, Jerry ran his life too fast and one night he was hit by a speeding car while crossing a street. He was in a hurry to give a speech at an opportunity meeting. I guess this was my wake up call which devastated me and most of the industry. His passing was all over the news networks. It was a sad day for thousands of people. He was great leader.
After this event, my heart was shattered. Everything was in pieces. I couldn't go on at that time. I was on a speeding train and it just crashed. Dreams exploited in mid air. I desperately needed to find peace again. I needed to learn about balance once again.
I left the network marketing business because of "burn out". Trying to do too much, and too fast. Kind of like Jerry Rubin.
I went back to my "comfort zone" in Corporate America. Back to the interior design business. I surrounded myself with the very best in our industry. I started working with celebrities, corporate executives, beautiful homes. I was in hiding, bathing myself with anything related to art and creativity. I needed to bring peace and beauty into people's lives. I gave to them what I was missing.
Years passed and I came across a Success Magazine by accident. A lesson here....The magazine was given to my wife by a person who never followed up. We all have heard, time and again, the fortune is in the follow up. Well, the company I was looking at, looked perfect on paper. The momentum stage was on fire, the branding was cutting edge, the management was impressive, and the compensation was very rewarding. That magic word of LEVERAGE, came back to haunt me every day. This company was on the war path, with the leadership to win.
As it turned out, I called the company and wanted someone to sell me the product. I needed to know how this product would effect me. I needed something that would really change people's lives. I wanted no hype. A wonderful lady followed up and presented me with the product. I tried the product. I got great results and I was onboard. I strongly feel, fate stepped in to lead me to a place I left behind.
Fast forward and I'm back in the industry. Happy to pursue new dreams and to create a platform for people to stand on and shout, yes you can!
