Hello Bill - Nice to meet you. I do love the Iowa Lakes area, the people are warm and I have a huge circle of friends. But you are correct the winters can be brutal. Okoboji started Winter Games in January now and that is always fun and cure Cabin Fever for a bit! I visited California last fall and took in the Wine Harvest in Paso Robles. I fell in love with California. We are at the peak of color now, the trees and foliage are just spectacular. Well have a lovely Sunday, I am taking my best friend out for breakfast on the lake! sinerely Connie
