About Me

Okay, so i was born and raised in Scotland (Glasgow to be precise) and when i left school at seventeen, not only were there no jobs, but my parents marriage had broken down and life at home was DIRE:) See, i had a mom who, when things got too much, (you know, pressure and all that ) used her kids (especially me) as punch bag. Especially at night, whilst dad worked night shift and the reason why i, more so than my sisters recieved more of it than they did, was because whilst they shared a room, i didn't. So, anyway, at the age of seventeen, my dad shipped me down to London to a. save me from any more violence and b. give me a better start in life. Suffice to say, things were not great. I was 450 miles away from home, no family, could not make friends and i was only seventeen years old. PLUS with the upbringing that i had had- well, lets just say i was easy pickings for certain types of 'gentlemen'. Anyway, moving on :) I have been living in London for twenty eight years now and in that time, i have (amonst many other things) had and single handedly raised five children. Don't worry, they're all great. Now i'm not as young, forty five now and i look at the future and i just KNOW that i do not want to be a trolley pusher or a school dinner lady. Not only that, i do not want the whole sum of my existence to be only that i successfully raised my kids all by myself. That might be enough for some, but not me. See, i want to show my girls that even if you had a rough chilhood and even if you end up bringing up a bunch of kids on state benefits, your life is not over. Far from it, once the kids get to a certain age, you get your life back. And that is where i am at RIGHT NOW! Working on the legacy that i want to leave to them. For without them, i a no-thing. Through them, i learnt the true meaning of giving and what love is and i learnt too what love is NOT. Thank you.

Hi Sharon, Work like you Don't need the Money... Love like you have never lost... Laugh like you have never cried... Sing like no one is listening... Dance like no one is watching... People - I think - can always help each other with something. Maybe a big thing, or a small thing, maybe only a kind word.
