About Me
So who is this Byron guy?
I'm a young ambitious, open-minded guy that loves this crazy marketing industry. I jump on this magnetic sponsoring site to meet and hang out with other like-minded people that are making a difference in their lives through this industry.
I'm small town rural Mississippi. I left home at the tender age of 18 to join the USMC to be apart of the Few, the Proud, the Marines.(Jarhead) I traveled all across this beautiful Earth seeing different cultures and lifestyles. I completed my tour of duty with a honorable discharge and started out into the real world. I soon realized that I did not want to work for someone else for the rest of my life.
What to sell???
I tried magazine sales, selling sunglasses, cd's, clothing at the local swapmeet and anything else I could find. I got exposed to network marketing after hussling almost anything I could get my hands on......No drugs though.....
I tried everything that I could learn. 3-way calls, edify upline, conference calls, home parties, the 3ft rule, magic cd that sells, then the magic dvd that outsells the cd and Oh!! the big one plan for the next upcoming event where the guru in my upline is gonna be there. The one that got stressed to me the most was training, training, training, and more training. Read this book, watch this movie and even more training. Hang out with with the top distributors and do what they do.
That got old real quick but maybe not quick enough because I stuck around for about 3 and a half years. My biggest problem was I could market, recruit and sale. The only problem was that I couldn't get my new person to duplicate what I was doing. So what did I do? You guessed it, kept looking, remember it's a numbers game.
I mean I went through so many people and the same thing was happening. I finally gave it up and started a new Just Over Broke (Job). I got completely out of it but still kept in contact with a few networking soldiers. For me, I had to put food on the table for the young family I had started and a that time, it just wasn't cuttting it for me.
Years past and all I could think about is what I had learned and what I did wrong or how could I have made the 10 to 20K a month. So a few months ago, one of my faithful networking soldiers got in contact with me and exposed me to a new company and the whole nine yards. As anyone with history of the industry, I asked all the right questions and got right to the point real quick.
So what's the product or service? What's the pay plan? Remember we all hate being pitched especially when we know it is coming. But the one thing that opened my eyes up was that he was leaving one company for something totally new. I mean he is one of the leader's in his company and was getting rid of it all because he had a conscience.
The Truth
He tells me, Byron, "I felt like if I sponsored someone ino the company that 98% of them would never make their money back. My mouth dropped wide open because finally someone spoke the truth. Deep down inside I had that same feeling years ago but coming from him meant something deep and heart felt. He told me how so many people in the industry were so fake and full of it.
Meanwhile I'm still trying to figure out is he prospecting me or just being honest. Well, he was doing both. And I new it, but I didn't care because he was being honest with me. But before, I jumped head over heels into this wacky industry again I thought long & hard about it. Do I want to recruit.... Oops I meant prospect to others about something I dont even know if it's the real deal or not.
Now having being out of this side of the world for a few years, I thought it would be difficult to get that fire re lit. I had all the questions. Do I have the time? How much will I have to invest and I mean really invest? Like missing my sons T-Ball games or showing my daughter how to add and subtract and just hanging out with my wife.
OK OK I know that I will have to give up a few things but is it really worth it. And I know all you gurus are thinking "Successful people are willing to do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do." I've heard that a million in one times. So Byron which one are you? (Alternate closing question if you didn't know)
So, now I'm back in and this new 2007 marketing industry is something totally different and new. This Web 2.0 has taken the 3ft rule and has multiplied by a few millions. Screw wasting time trying to pitch everyone you come in contact with, put a video up on youtube and let millions see it instantly and if they like you they might they might even contact you. What about diriving traffic to your site?
The one thing that I still think is funny is that everyone think they have the greatest product or service in the world. And some of you might even be right. I can tell you that just because you are in your affiliate company. You can still do other things. We all have heard of the stock market. So you know what!!! DIVERSIFY.
It's ok if you do a little something extra and your upline sponsor don't know about it so he/she don't get mad with you. You know why because that's what they are already doing. They are selling you there prospecting DVD's to past out and training videos to study over and mp3 files to listen to. Now you get it Diversify!!!
The question is how do you become apart of the lifestyle of the rich and not so famous or should I say wealthy. The reason being most wealthy people don't have to work and most rich people still do.
Well, I don't have all the answers but I can see the obvious. So call me up or should I say leave me a message at 206-984-1787 and I promise I'll check it and get back with you. Check out www.k7.net & get your own free number so you can stop using up all your minutes.
All I ask is don't pitch me your product or service because I won't pitch you mine. I just want to meet real people not someone behind a computer with autoresponders and newsletters.
So in the illustrious words in copy catting of rapper Curtis Jackson, Byron Lucas said "Go ahead and switch your style up and if they hate, then let em' hate and watch the money pile up."
