About Me
I have been a Network Marketer for over 5 years. It has been a long journey of learning, discovering, meeting lots of great folks and pursuing my dream of self fulfillment, financial indendence and above all, Leadership amoung my piers.
Little about me. I got married very young and had dreams of the family thing, you know, the "Cleavers" syndrome.
Like so many young couples we struggled financially and emotionally. My first born, my son, was born with heart disease, luckily it was correctable with surgery, he was 6 when he was diagnosed. One year later I had a second son, Jason, he also was born with heart disease, sadly his was devistating, he needed a heart transplant to survive. He didn't make it to that point, he passed at a very young age. You know some people beleive that the death of a child brings people closer, truth is, it tears them apart. My marriage ended. Before we separated, we adopted my beautiful daughter Julie. She is now 25, with 2 kids and is the best mom I know. Her struggle through her childhood was unknown to her dad and I that she was born addicted to cocaine. Her biological Mother was a drug abuser and alcoholic, this in itself was a long hard road, but in the end worth every step, I love my kids! I am blessed!
I was born and raised in Mass, where I reside now. Over the past several years I lived in Pa where I was an Insurance Agent and more recently in North Carolina. It was in NC which is where I discovered what I was made of. I moved down there to help my Parents settle in. And needing a change myself, I was excited to start over so to speak. My brother Mark also moved down there, he had a terminal illness and needed the closeness of my Parents. Sadly he only lived for 7 months in NC. We were with him when he died and as sad as it was, I am glad to have been there for him and for my folks. After he passed, I knew I needed to get busy working, my funds were depleting rapidly, and I was faced with the reality of the job market in that area was not abundant. This is when I decided to go online and start a Business. I joined 3 different programs, not all at once, more one after another as with each I tried ,I failed miserably. Well I spent what I had left in my savings, and thought "I am broke". It didn't get much better over the next several weeks, in fact I ended up standing in line shoulder to shoulder with the very people I had once felt so sorry for when my life was better. I stood in a line in a Mission house to ask for food. I was greatful on the one hand, but devistated how bad things had gotten for me, I just could not beleive how poor I was. This was to be the MOST valuable lesson I have learned since I was a child. It was humbling to say the least. I will NEVER take things for granted again, we are all just one step away from standing in that line. I refused to give in no matter how hard things were. So there I was, broke, beaten down, but still with hope in my heart. I mean all that had happened to me personally giving up just was not an option. After months of living on the edge I finally found a job with Cingular/AT&T, I LOVED this job! I managed a retail store and thrived!! Won 15 awards for Customer Service and had recieved flowers, cards and letters from many of my customers. Sadly when AT&T took over totally, they closed some of the franchise stores and you got it, mine was one of them. So here I was again, floundering. Since I had experienced the shortage of jobs down in NC, I knew I had to move. So I came back to where it all started...Ma. , I got a job as a book keeper and am working constantly online...... I won't give up, I WILL make it! I will NEVER give up my dream of financial freedom, helping others find themselves, walking side by side with them, and be a leader they can look up to.
My mantra is and always will be "I can take this, and I can take a little bit more" I will make it!! See you at the top!!
