Brian and Jill were both real estate investors who saw the writing on the wall in January of 2006 as the market in Florida began to retreat. They needed to find an alternative income. “We decided we could be spending our time on something that was going to bring results rather than spending it on something that was in a nosedive,” Jill says. “And never forget: time spent is time gone forever.”
But they didn’t get to that decision quickly. When we first discovered our home based business, we saw it simply as much needed income stream. Brian was also excited by the business opportunity but Jill was very skeptical. Years before, they had tried another network and, in Jill’s words, they “failed miserably.” With only two months of savings in the bank, she told Brian that he needed to make something happen in the business fast if she was going to be a believer.
“Although I was not supportive, I never held him back,” Jill says. “And I saw an excitement in his eyes I had not seen in years.” Brian took them to about a $1,000/week in that two-month ultimatum period. “Yes, I got excited,” Jill admits, “and we were a team from that point on.”
The team of Brian and Jill became part of a bigger team with a proven success system. Ultimately, Brian and Jill attribute their success to being willing to grow through personal and skill development and their upline mentors and friends.
“We found that by following in the footsteps of great leaders, we learned to be great leaders in less time with fewer mistakes,” Jill says, “we call that working smarter not harder! We’re not experimenting with our team. We’re teaching them what works!”
