I hated having a job as I am sure you do . I couldn’t stand working at a dead end job to make someone else rich.

That’s why I started my own internet business.

I created this Blog because I want to meet, network, and give back to other new entrepreneurs who are in the same situation just like I was… and hopefully my story can help inspire you to discover a better alternative just like I did when I started working from home, being my own boss, and making money online. But before I get into all of that… let me just tell you a little bit more about myself…

I live in a small town in Kansas…Osage City. Osage City is about 30 minutes South of Topeka, our state Capitol. Growing up and living in a small town has a a lot of advantages as you can imagine. However, there isn’t exactly a lot of opportunity for career advancement. That all is changing with the advancement of the the internet.

When I was in college I had three different jobs. They were okay, as far as jobs go. Going into my senior year, I decided that I was going to focus on graduating and decided not to have a job.

I have never gone back.

Being an entrepreneur has become my hobby and my passion. It’s like that same feeling I would get when I played sports in high school. You work really hard at something and then finally achieve your goals…it’s the best feeling in the world.

I love sports. In fact most of my weekends are dedicated to KU, Notre Dame,and the Chiefs. You can call me a glutin for punishment, but during the summer months the Royals are basically all consuming.

I am a big movie fan as well. I try to go to at least one movie a week in theaters. There is something about the smell of the popcorn and the atmosphere at a movie theater that keeps me coming back. I never fall for there little money making schemes though.

Small Popcorn and no I don’t want the next size bigger for 50 cents more.”

The reason I set up this profile is for networking purposes.  Meeting new motivated people is one of the most important parts of being successful.  So let me tell you a little bit more about my background.

As I stated earlier I haven’t had a real job since I was 20 years old and in college.  I have had some help along the way.  My parents own a auto/body shop in our home town.  I did spend a few years running the office after college.  I don’t count it as a real job though because of the flexibility of it and they didn’t pay me hardly anything.  I guess letting me live with them counts for something.

When I worked for them, and I still do occasionally, we grew the shop earnings almost 3.5 times over a 3 year period.

How did we do it?  Two ways: adding services and MARKETING!

Marketing is where the money is in every business, and now it is easier than ever to earn more money than you can imagine in the marketing field.

It took me a while to realize this in my own business ventures though.  My first foray was into the world of Multi-Level Marketing with a company called  Amerisciences.  As you can imagine I got real excited at first, but it quickly subsided when my sponsor told me what I had to do.  Peddling vitamins didn’t sound as exciting after a few days.

There was no way in the world I was going to spend my nights and weekends going to silly hotel parties and other events.  I certainly wasn’t going to start cold calling everybody in the phone book.

A home based business did sound good to me, now I just had to figure out how to pull it off.

One of my favorite Books is Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.  That book started me down a course that would drastically change my life.  It was the answer to my question of how rich people got rich.

In the book he recommended starting a business and using the profits to invest in real estate.  Obviously that is the over simplified version, but you get the point.  So I started doing research on every possible way to make an income.  I read hundreds of books, went to seminars, listened to podcasts, you name it I did it.

Everything that I learned about business seem to always come back to marketing.  There was affiliate marketing, network marketing, marketing to by foreclosed real estate, start a brick and mortar business and market that…everything was about marketing and it was making my head spin.

I was trying a lot of ideas in order to make a living, but nothing seemed to be working for me.  I started feeling something that I had never felt before.  I can only describe it as being lost.  There were so many things I had learned from some really intelligent people and I new that I needed to start applying the education that I had acquired.

You know the saying “A confused mind does nothing.”  That pretty much described me.  I needed something to focus on.

Then one day I was surfing the internet and I came across an ad I had seen a few times, this time I decided to click on and see where it led.

Anytime I click on an ad online I have my defenses up pretty high.  There are so many weirdos and scams out there that you just never know if you should believe what you read. And I was getting to the point where I thought nothing would work.

As I read through the website my defenses started to drop inch by inch.  This was a whole other side to the marketing world I didn’t even know existed.

I read this letter titled “The Coffee House Letter”

Quite frankly it was my Ah ha! moment.

As I read further I found that there was a new system a select group of people were using to market online.  It is basically a mini franchise in a box, yet the earning potential is just as good if not better.  Interestingly enough, that is what the system is called…Business in A Box or BIB I knew this was exactly what I had been searching for so I immediately decided to buy in.

It was the best decision I ever made.

Finally I had something that I could sit down and focus on.  My lost and confused feeling dissolved almost instantly.  I knew I had my answer.
